Provincial Tourism Association held the first member conference

On October 31, the Provincial Tourism Association held its first general meeting of members to strengthen connections, exchanges, and experience sharing among businesses operating in the tourism sector in the province. Attending the event were Mr. Vuong Ngoc Ha, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Honorary Chairman of the Provincial Tourism Association; leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DOC); centers under the DOC; representatives of associations and tourism businesses in the area.

Currently, the Provincial Tourism Association has nearly 300 members, operating in the fields of accommodation, travel, tourism services, restaurants, homestays... In recent times, the Association has implemented many outstanding promotional activities such as the campaign "Linking green flows - Northeast heritage tourism", participating in tourism fairs ITE HCMC 2024, VITM Hanoi, organizing international famtrips and presstrips. At the same time, supporting members to recover after the pandemic, training human resources, and digital transformation in tourism activities.

After the merger, the province has formed a large, unified and diverse tourism space, connecting seamlessly from the Dong Van Stone Plateau to the historical and cultural heritage sites of Tuyen Quang . The whole province has 172 tourist sites in operation; 1,490 tourist accommodation establishments; 55 licensed travel companies; 330 tour guides; over 3,200 restaurants and mobile catering services. In the first 10 months of 2025, the province is expected to welcome over 3.2 million visitors; total tourism spending is estimated at VND 8,736.9 billion.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and requesting the Provincial People's Committee to support tourism promotion and advertising; strengthen business cooperation, communication, and promotion to enhance the image and affirm the position of Tuyen Quang tourism on the international tourism map; and support the construction of destinations that meet the standards of "Vietnam Green Tourism" according to the criteria of the General Department of Tourism.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Ngoc Ha emphasized: In recent times, Tuyen Quang has been continuously honored with many international tourism titles. These results have been accompanied and actively connected by the Provincial Tourism Association and the business community. In the coming time, with the goal of making tourism a key economic sector, it is recommended that the Provincial Tourism Association continue to promote its role as a bridge between the government and businesses; proactively advise on solutions for sustainable tourism development, associated with building unique products, green tourism and digital transformation in promoting and managing destinations. Attract investors to build high-quality tourist areas. Preserve and promote festivals imbued with traditional cultural identity. At the same time, strengthen human resource training, improve service quality, and aim to build the image of Tuyen Quang - a friendly, attractive and unique destination.

At the conference, the Provincial Tourism Association introduced the first Executive Committee consisting of 36 members, Mr. Lai Quoc Tinh holds the position of Chairman of the Provincial Tourism Association.
