(GLO)- The 2025 Chu Dang Ya Volcano – Wild Sunflower Week is expected to be held over 3 key days from November 14 to 16 with many rich cultural, sports and tourism activities imbued with Gia Lai identity.

That was the conclusion of Vice Chairwoman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich at a meeting with relevant departments, branches and units to review the organization of the Wild Sunflower Week - Chu Dang Ya Volcano in 2025.

The week is expected to take place from November 2 to 16, in which the main activities will take place over the 3 weekend days, combined with attractive supporting programs, creating a vibrant atmosphere and spreading the beautiful image of Gia Lai land in the blooming wild sunflower season.

The “Gia Lai City Trail - Great Forest Dream” race (November 2) will be the opening activity for the series of events of Wild Sunflower Week - Chu Dang Ya Volcano in 2025.

In addition, the activities during the Week are divided into four main content groups, including: Cultural and artistic space; culinary space and local products; promotional and communication activities; security, safety and service work.

For the Week to be successful, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to develop a detailed plan, organize the festival to ensure safety, efficiency, practicality and rich cultural identity; arrange diverse activities, create influence and attract tourists.

The Department coordinated with the Provincial Culinary Culture Association to arrange a regional culinary space, introducing local specialties; coordinated with the Provincial Literature and Arts Association to organize a painting, photography, and sculpture creation camp with the theme of Chu Dang Ya volcano, wild sunflowers, and Gia Lai culture; invited a number of famous painters and artisans to participate in creating and displaying works at the festival.

At the same time, build press releases, media orientation, focus on promoting awareness of environmental protection, Chu Dang Ya volcanic landscape and preserving wild sunflowers - the symbol of the festival season.

The Department of Industry and Trade was assigned to coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment to organize an OCOP booth, displaying typical products and Gia Lai coffee - a symbol of provincial tourism.

Departments and branches are assigned to closely coordinate in traffic, health, food safety, and environmental sanitation to ensure the festival takes place safely, economically, effectively, and with rich identity.

In particular, within the framework of this year's Week, Gia Lai province will incorporate the event to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Central Highlands Gong Cultural Space being recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (November 25, 2005 - November 25, 2025). The event is expected to be held solemnly and meaningfully, contributing to honoring and spreading the unique cultural heritage values ​​of the Central Highlands.

The 2025 Chu Dang Ya Volcano - Wild Sunflower Week promises to become an impressive cultural and tourism highlight, bringing the image of Gia Lai - the land of yellow wild sunflowers and the sound of gongs closer to domestic and foreign tourists.
