Gia Lai has requested the demolition of the unfinished communal house.

The Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board and the Chu Pah Area Construction Investment Project Management Board to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to stop the project, carry out dismantling and hand over the site to the locality to serve the preparation work for the organization of the Wild Sunflower Week - Chu Dang Ya Volcano in 2025, to be completed before October 15.

The Communal House project in Ia Gri village belongs to the Project to support investment in building a typical tourist destination in Ia Gri village, invested by the Chu Pah District Construction Investment Project Management Board (formerly), with a total investment of more than 9.4 billion VND. Currently, 40% of the construction volume has been completed, and 4.6 billion VND has been disbursed.

Previously, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee issued a document stating that the project implementation still had many unsatisfactory points in the process of preparing documents, collecting opinions from relevant agencies and the community where the project was implemented; concreting the communal house, not designing it according to the traditional communal house model of the J'rai ethnic group, and some items arranged inappropriately, with the risk of destroying the landscape of Chu Dang Ya volcano, causing bad public opinion.
