Many unique art activities at the Wild Sunflower Week

Accordingly, the Flower Week takes place from November 6 to 12. The opening ceremony begins at 8:00 a.m. on November 8 at the yard of the Ia Gri Village Communal House (Chu Dang Ya Commune, Chu Pah District) with many unique cultural activities such as: gong performances, folk dances, reenactment of the New Rice Celebration ceremony; display and introduction of traditional brocade costumes; demonstration of statue carving, pounding rice with a pair of pestles; fashion show; art exchange; traditional weaving and weaving competitions...

In addition, there are many new and attractive activities such as hot air balloon release; Half Marathon 2024 with the theme "Awakening the Chu Pah countryside - Journey connecting mountains and flowers"; Competition to conquer the peak of Chu Dang Ya volcano. Visitors to the Flower Week also have the opportunity to experience many folk games, shop at stalls selling typical agricultural products of Chu Pah district, and enjoy typical Central Highlands cuisine .

In particular, the art program to welcome Flower Week with the theme "Wild Sunflower Dance - Chu Dang Ya 2024" will take place from 8:10 p.m. on November 9, including 3 chapters: "Legend of Chu Dang Ya - Million-year sediment"; "Vitality of the Great Forest"; "Wild Sunflower Dance" with the combination of many art forms such as singing, dancing, ensemble performance, modern dance, and animation. The program is expected to have the participation of many beloved artists such as: Diva Thanh Lam, singer Minh Quan, singer Luu Huong Giang, singer Kyo York...; broadcast live on Gia Lai Radio-Television and livestream on the social networking platforms of the Station and Gia Lai Newspaper.

At the meeting, members of the Organizing Committee informed: Currently, preparations for the 2024 Wild Sunflower Week - Chu Dang Ya Volcano are being urgently carried out in accordance with the assigned functions and tasks, ensuring the successful organization of the event. Members also contributed ideas to complete the script for the art program to welcome the Flower Week.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich requested departments, units and localities to pay special attention to food safety and hygiene issues; strengthen inspections of restaurants, hotels and shops to avoid price increases and "ripping off" tourists; and ensure security, order and smooth traffic... so that people and tourists can have a complete experience at this cultural and tourism event.
