Unique and timeless architecture
Built on a solid granite foundation, the entire 688 meter long dam body is made of rubble concrete combined with hexagonal prisms of finely carved stone. The project connects Tru Cac mountain and Quy Hau mountain, creating a rare solid and majestic structure. With two water channels, the North and South, Dong Cam dam is not only a technical project but also a symbol of the labor and creativity of Phu Yen people.

Not only does it have economic value, Dong Cam Dam is also an ideal destination for those who love the beauty of nature. At dawn, the water flowing over the dam surface sparkles like a silver silk strip, reflecting the majestic mountains and the gentle Ba River. When the rainy season comes, the water foams white, blending with the peaceful space of trees and small boats, creating an unusually attractive ink painting.
"Hunting" for photos with majestic waterfalls
During the rainy season, from around September to December, Dong Cam Dam turns into a giant artificial waterfall. The rushing water flows down creating silver silk ribbons, creating white foam and carrying cool steam. This is the ideal time for visitors to capture impressive and emotional photos. You can choose the shooting angle from both ends of the dam to capture the majestic beauty of the project.
Camping and picnicking in nature
With its wild, peaceful space and separated from the hustle and bustle of the city, the area around Dong Cam dam is the perfect place for camping and picnicking. Visitors can set up tents on the banks of the Ba River, organize a barbecue with friends, watch the sunset or admire the starry sky in a fresh natural setting. Because this area has few services, you should prepare all the necessary items and always remember to keep the environment clean.
Immerse yourself in the Dong Cam Dam Festival
Every year on the 8th day of the Lunar New Year, Phu Yen people solemnly hold the Dong Cam Dam Festival. This is an occasion to commemorate the 54 workers who sacrificed their lives during the construction of the project, and at the same time express the spirit of "remembering the source of water" and pray for a year of favorable weather. Participating in the festival is an opportunity for tourists to learn more about the culture and spiritual life of the local people.

Ideal timing
Each season, Dong Cam Dam has its own beauty. You can visit here at any time of the year:
- Dry season (January - August): Sunny weather, stable water level, convenient for walking on the dam body, camping and picnicking.
- Rainy season (September - December): The water flows rapidly and overflows the dam, creating a majestic waterfall, making it a great time for photography.
Moving instructions
Dong Cam Dam is about 35km southwest of Tuy Hoa city center, about 45-50 minutes by motorbike. From Tuy Hoa, follow Nguyen Tat Thanh street to Hai Duong street, then turn onto National Highway 25. Continue about 26-27km, you will reach the dam area.
Important Note
- Be careful when moving on the dam body, especially during the rainy season or when there are strong winds as the surface can be slippery.
- Absolutely do not go near the dam area during flood season or when there is a flood release notice to ensure safety.
- Be prepared with hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen. If you plan to camp, bring a tent, flashlight, and insect repellent.
- Always maintain public hygiene, do not litter to protect the landscape of the relic.
