During the recent historic floods, Hoi An still had a large number of international tourists coming to visit and stay. Some foreign tourists sympathized, shared resources and directly participated in community support activities in deeply flooded areas.
Through the connection of Ms. Luong Thuy Ha, owner of Beachside Boutique Hoi An accommodation (Hoi An Tay ward), the mobilized funding amounted to hundreds of millions of VND. In particular, many foreign tourists living in Hoi An also contributed and supported money to share some of the difficulties with the people.

Ms. Luong Thuy Ha said that two European tourists staying at Beachside Boutique Hoi An donated 10 million VND upon hearing the news. Since October 31, many more tourists and foreigners living in Hoi An have continued to donate.
In addition to money, they also bought food, milk, and water, packed them in boxes, and brought them to support. Some tourists even expressed their desire to join the relief efforts.

Mr. Jai (39 years old), a tourist from Australia, said: "I find accompanying the relief team very meaningful and also a memorable experience, because part of the purpose of our trip to Hoi An is to share the value of tourism with the local community."
In addition to the coastal areas of Hoi An, the support team will continue to visit deeply flooded villages in Nam Phuoc commune today (November 1) to help people in flooded areas.
