
On Highway 40B, the route management unit has cleared the road up to km82+500 (Tra Tan commune). At km82+500, a landslide blocked the road, which will be replaced with another culvert and cleared of rocks and soil from the positive slope. The first step is expected to be opened to traffic at 5:00 p.m. on November 1.
Also on Highway 40B, cracks appeared on the road surface at km68+030 - km68+100 and widened, with the risk of breaking the road. The management unit set up warning barriers and temporarily allowed traffic to pass.
At km90+520 - km90+598 (Nam Tra My commune), cracks appeared across the road surface, and the slope collapsed, threatening to cause a road break. The management unit deployed measures to limit water flow into the cracks.
Road DT606, in Tay Giang and Hung Son communes, had a landslide on the negative slope, cutting off the road at km2+020 and km5+830 (Tay Giang commune). The regular maintenance unit has set up ropes to ensure traffic; is digging into the positive slope to open the roadbed inside, temporarily ensuring traffic.
On October 31, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction Tran Ngoc Thanh continued to inspect and direct the work of repairing damage on National Highway 40B and National Highway 24C.
Excluding the Ho Chi Minh trail, Truong Son Dong road, National Highway 1, and the expressway through the area managed by Road Management Area III, the total cost of damage caused by floods to Da Nang city's traffic infrastructure this time (estimated as of the afternoon of October 31) is more than 156 billion VND.
The above figures do not include university, college, and village routes previously managed by the district People's Committee, now assigned to the commune level for management and maintenance.
