Da Nang trains to improve management capacity and develop incubators

The training program took place on November 3 and 4 to provide basic and in-depth knowledge about innovative startups; skills in project management and operation; skills in capital calling, technology transfer; and the process of establishing an incubator.

At the same time, support ward and commune officials to raise awareness and equip them with basic knowledge about innovative startups, helping localities proactively build and implement activities to promote innovative startups at the grassroots level.

From there, contribute to expanding the network, spreading the spirit of innovation to the local community and businesses.

In his opening speech, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Le Son Phong emphasized that Da Nang has been actively implementing many policies and strategies to build a dynamic, practical and sustainable innovative startup ecosystem.

The city identifies science, technology and innovation development as an important pillar in its economic growth strategy, a driving force to improve productivity, competitiveness and people's quality of life.

Incubators, innovation centers, and creative startup support centers are important links in the ecosystem. These are places to incubate, nurture, and develop startup ideas from the beginning, supporting young businesses to access resources, technology, markets, and investors.

Within the framework of the program, delegates were introduced to the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws on creative startups and innovation; the creative startup ecosystem in Da Nang city and the activities of the Da Nang Center for Creative Startup Support.

Experts shared about models to promote market connection for innovative startup products; capital raising steps and investment processes of angel and venture capital funds; startup thinking skills, entrepreneurial spirit; startup project management and design thinking in startups...

In addition to the participation of domestic experts, the program also has the participation of experts from Republic Polytechnic, Singapore - the country with the leading startup ecosystem in Asia.

Thereby, creating opportunities for students and incubators in Da Nang to exchange experiences, learn advanced models... to apply appropriately to local practices.
