Before moving into the new house
The resettlement area is planned on a large hill, the houses are designed along contour lines, shaped like terraced fields - a cultural characteristic of the highland people.
From afar, the resettlement area is both intimate and prominent, bringing a cozy and familiar feeling to the local people.

These days, the people of Nam Pen 2 village - the place that suffered the most damage in the flood more than a year ago - are all eagerly waiting for the day to move into their new homes.
Some households took the opportunity to visit the resettlement area and could not hide their surprise at the completed houses.
The houses here are designed based on the traditional architecture of the Mong people. Living areas such as bedrooms, kitchens, and outbuildings are all neatly arranged, convenient for daily life.

Mr. Phan A Khoa, a resident of Nam Pen 2 village, shared: The new house is sturdy and spacious, my family no longer has to worry every time there is a flood. This is truly a dream that we did not think could come true.
Mr. Thao Seo Su could not hide his joy because his new residence is located right on the Den Sang - Y Ty route, near the commune center, so everything is convenient, especially taking children to school.

After completing the houses, these days, the soldiers and workers of the 789 Corporation - Ministry of National Defense are urgently constructing the infrastructure.
Up to this point, the internal traffic system has poured the last meters of concrete, electricity and water systems have been installed to each house, ensuring that residents will have full living conditions when they move in.
Building a model residential area
According to the project's initial goal, households that suffered heavy damage and were located in areas at high risk of landslides after the floods caused by Typhoon Yagi late last year would be given priority for relocation.
Currently, according to the synthesis from the villages, there are nearly 60 households registered for resettlement needs, of which 35 households are prioritized for arrangement. If there is still surplus land and housing, the project will expand the resettlement target to other areas at risk of landslides.

Mr. Vang Seo Say, Secretary of the Party Committee of Den Sang Commune, said: To ensure transparency and fairness, the villages have organized meetings to evaluate beneficiaries of the policy, and at the same time conducted a lottery to determine the location of the house for each household. After completing the arrangement, the locality will take the next steps to issue land use right certificates to the households.
At the same time, the Party Committee, government and organizations are stepping up propaganda and mobilizing people in resettlement areas to participate in building a model community with a green, clean and beautiful living space.
The Fatherland Front Committee and mass organizations of the commune will make specific plans to support people in building green, clean and beautiful residential areas, and at the same time review and supplement works such as cultural houses and community playgrounds to meet common living needs.

The completion of the resettlement area not only provides safe housing for people in flood-affected areas, but also demonstrates the concern of the Party, State and army in taking care of people's lives.
New houses, clean roads and the consensus of the government, organizations and people are the premise for building a civilized and exemplary community. Sang Ma Sao resettlement area is not only a place to "settle down" but also a symbol of faith and hope, helping people in flood-affected areas gradually build a new, stable, safe and sustainable life.
