Da Nang allocates 210 billion VND to 72 communes and wards to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

This morning, November 3, Mr. Pham Duc An, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, decided to allocate 210 billion VND from the city budget to support 72 communes and wards to directly support people affected by damage and repair infrastructure.

Floods and landslides swept away many houses in Da Nang city

The recent prolonged heavy rains have caused landslides and widespread flooding, causing heavy losses in human lives and property in many localities in the Central region, including Da Nang, and seriously damaging traffic infrastructure, schools, and medical stations.

Faced with that situation, on the morning of November 3, Mr. Pham Duc An, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, signed Decision 2335/QD-UBND approving the targeted addition of VND 210 billion from the city budget to provide emergency support to 72 communes and wards, to overcome the consequences of natural disasters (phase 1), focusing on repairing essential infrastructure works, restoring production, and stabilizing people's lives after floods.

Officers and soldiers of Military Region 5 and nearly 1,000 people of Duy Nghia commune (Da Nang city) make efforts to reinforce the eroded An Luong embankment.

According to the decision, Da Nang City supports each commune and ward with 4 billion VND for localities that suffered heavy damage, including: Tra My, Tra Lien, Tra Doc, Tra Tan, Tra Giap, Thanh My, Ben Giang, Nam Giang, La Dee, La Ee, Go Noi, Hoi An Dong, Hoi An Tay, Duy Xuyen, Duy Nghia, Nam Phuoc, Thu Bon, Dai Loc, Ha Nha, Vu Gia, Thuong Duc, Phu Thuan, Nong Son, Que Phuoc, Phuoc Thanh, Phuoc Chanh, Phuoc Nang, Kham Duc, Phuoc Hiep, Song Vang, Song Kon, Dak Pring, Dong Giang, Ben Hien, Nam Tra My, Tra Linh, Tra Van, Tra Tap, Tra Leng, Tay Giang, Hung Son, A Vuong and Hiep Duc.

Support 2 billion VND/commune, ward for: Tay Ho, Hoi An, Son Cam Ha, Phuoc Tra, Hoa Vang, Hoa Tien, Dien Ban Bac, Dien Ban Dong and Lanh Ngoc.

In addition, the remaining 21 communes and wards, including Xuan Phu, Thang An, Thang Dien, Thang Binh, Thang Phu, Dong Duong, Quang Phu, Viet An, Phu Ninh, Ngu Hanh Son, Hai Van, Lien Chieu, Hoa Xuan, Ba Na, Dien Ban, An Thang, Dien Ban Tay, Tam Xuan, Ban Thach and Que Son Trung were supported with 1 billion VND/commune and ward.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City requested localities to receive and allocate funding sources for the right purposes, right subjects and make payments according to State regulations.
