
In Ngu Hanh Son ward, from the morning of October 31, armed forces joined hands with youth, teachers and school staff to clean classrooms.
Due to heavy rain, Vang Anh Kindergarten (Thi An area, Ngu Hanh Son ward) was flooded, a large amount of mud and garbage accumulated, causing unsanitary conditions. Officers and soldiers from police, military and border guard units stationed in the ward were assigned to urgently clean up, pump water to wash away mud, and clean up classrooms.
After cleaning, the City Border Guard supported spraying disinfectant chemicals to clean the environment to welcome children back to school soon.

At Hoa Nhon Primary School No. 1 (Ba Na Commune), floodwaters flooded 15 classrooms to a depth of more than 1.5 meters, with mud covering the floors, walls, desks, chairs and school supplies. From the afternoon of October 30, when the water was about to recede, the regular militia, parents and all staff and teachers of the school urgently cleaned up.
To support the school, the leaders of Ba Na commune mobilized local forces and soldiers from the City Military Command, Special Police Team No. 3 (Mobile Police Command) to conduct environmental sanitation, clean up, clear sewers, collect garbage, and disinfect.

Pham Van Dong Secondary School (Ba Na Commune) also had 18 classrooms flooded nearly 1 meter deep. The forces divided into small groups to clear mud and dirt, used high-powered water sprayers and specialized tools to clean the school yard, wash tables and chairs, and unclog the drainage system.
Mr. Nguyen Tan Buu, Principal of Pham Van Dong Secondary School, shared: “Without the help of the armed forces, it would have taken the school a whole week to clean up. The officers and soldiers worked very urgently, meticulously and responsibly. The teachers, students and parents are extremely grateful.”

Mr. Duong Tuan Tu, acting Commander of the Ba Na Commune Military Command, said that as soon as the water receded, the unit mobilized all local militia forces and closely coordinated with other forces to carry out work to overcome the consequences of the flood.
The top goal is to ensure environmental hygiene, prevent epidemics; and soon bring life back to normal so that students can go to school and people can have places to see a doctor.
“By noon on October 31, we had mobilized more than 175 officers and soldiers of the unit to support the general cleaning at public places in the area. The workload is almost complete,” said Mr. Duong Tuan Tu.
On October 31, the City Youth Union - City Student Association deployed the first bus carrying 50 volunteers, students from the University of Technology and the University of Danang, to Phan Boi Chau Primary School (Dien Ban Tay commune) to join hands in cleaning up and overcoming the consequences of the flood.
