In the direction of Dai Loc commune, officers and soldiers of the Da Nang City Military Command coordinated with local authorities and people to clean up mud, wash roads, clean schools, cultural houses, medical stations; help policy families and single people rearrange furniture, wash utensils, clean houses... Also participating in cleaning the environment with the soldiers, teacher Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, a teacher at Nguyen Duc Thieu Primary School (Dai Loc commune, Da Nang city), emotionally shared: "If it weren't for the support and help of the soldiers, the teachers and students of the school wouldn't know when the cleaning would be finished. In Dien Ban Tay commune, more than 40 officers and soldiers of the 83rd Engineering Brigade (Navy) also mobilized many engineering equipment such as motorbikes, rubber boats, generators, and more than 40 officers and soldiers to speed up environmental sanitation progress and ensure people's lives.

To join hands with local Party committees, authorities and people to soon bring life back to normal, Missile Regiment 282, Anti-aircraft Artillery Regiment 224 (Division 375, Air Defense - Air Force) also mobilized hundreds of officers and soldiers to disperse to heavily affected areas in Da Nang City.
Timely support of food and provisions
On October 31, the rain in the mountainous communes west of Da Nang City has decreased, the water level of the rivers has gradually receded. However, the supply of food to the people in these localities has encountered many difficulties due to traffic disruption. According to the report of the Defense Command of Area 3 - Tra My (Da Nang City Military Command), the area under the management of the unit currently has 167 landslides, 146 traffic landslides (45 have been repaired), 21 residential landslides; more than 1,000 households with more than 4,000 people have been evacuated and safely returned home. In the entire area, 52 houses have completely collapsed; the electricity and telecommunications systems in Tra Leng and Tra Giap communes and some areas of Tra Doc, Tra Tan, and Nam Tra My communes have been damaged and have not been repaired yet...

In response to the urgent needs of people in areas isolated by floods and landslides, on the morning of October 31, following the direction of the Chief of Military Region 5 Command, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Thanh Hai, Deputy Political Commissar of the 270th Engineer Brigade, directly commanded officers and soldiers to cross mountains and mud, coordinate with the locality and the Defense Command of Region 3 - Tra My to march into isolated villages of Tra Tan commune (Da Nang city) to transport relief goods, helping people overcome the consequences of landslides. Overcoming difficult terrain and traffic disruption, officers and soldiers of the units transported 460 gifts (including banh chung, bread, drinking water, instant noodles, dry food, clothes, medicine) to hand to people in the villages of Song Y, Ngoc Giap, Ngoc Tu (Tra Tan commune).

To share the difficulties with the areas that suffered heavy losses during the rain and floods, the Da Nang Military Command coordinated with the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City to transport and distribute 6 tons of rice to support people in flooded areas at the Defense Command of Area 2 - Thanh My and the Defense Command of Area 3 - Tra My. On the afternoon of October 31, Colonel Tran Huu Ich, Commander of the Da Nang Military Command and comrade Nguyen Tan Hai, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City visited, encouraged and presented nearly 300 gifts and essential necessities such as: Drinking water, milk, bread to help people in Tay An village, Go Noi commune to soon stabilize their lives.
