Supporting vegetable seeds for people in flood-affected areas of Quang Tri province

QTO - In order to help farmers restore production after storm No. 10, on October 29, the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection of Quang Tri province coordinated with Hai Mui Ten Do Company Limited to implement a program to support winter vegetable seeds in 2025 for Ba Don ward and Nam Gianh commune.

The total amount of seeds provided includes 800 packages of Tosakan bok choy, 800 packages of green mustard, 800 packages of 212 mustard greens and 600 packages of Rapido lettuce. These are leafy vegetables with a short growing period, harvested after 30 days, suitable for the weather conditions after storms and local consumption needs. The total value of this support is nearly 30 million VND. The households receiving support are all families that were heavily affected by the recent natural disasters.

According to the representative of the provincial Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection, this support for vegetable seeds is not only to restore production but also to contribute to stabilizing livelihoods, helping people overcome difficulties after natural disasters. Along with providing seeds, technical staff of the department and enterprises also guide the planting and care process, ensuring good plant growth and stable productivity. This support for vegetable seeds creates more motivation for people in flooded areas to restore production and rise up after the storm.
