In every person there is a “guiding light”, which can be a dream or a belief. Comrade Nguyen Tat Toan, Secretary of Party Cell 1, Head of Risk Management Department of BIDV Ha Long, understands that this light not only guides his own path but also becomes a small flame that lights up the hearts of colleagues, customers and the younger generation on the path of serving the people. Having been with the branch since its establishment in 2015, when there were many difficulties, he and the Board of Directors have both built the physical facilities and built the people. Each file, each number, each decision is carefully considered because for bankers, customer trust is the most valuable asset.
In 2010, when he was in the Party, the oath of "Absolute loyalty to the Party's ideals, putting the interests of the Fatherland and the people above all else" still echoed in his ears. Working in a bank is doing service work, and service must come from a pure heart. Therefore, every analysis, every signature is based on the ethical foundation of a Party member. Working in a bank is working with people, and people always carry faith, so comrade Nguyen Tat Toan often told his brothers in the Party cell: "The Party is not only in the resolution, but must be in every action, every smile, every word with customers". Because for a Party member, serving the people today means serving customers with all your heart.
The Fire Continues
If comrade Nguyen Tat Toan was a fire that was lit from difficult days, today's young generation lights up in its own way: Modern, dynamic but still bright. I am Hoang Thao Chi, a young Party member who has just returned to work at BIDV Ha Long. Since I was a student at the National Economics University, I have wished to stand in the Party ranks, living for the community. On August 13, 2022, I was admitted to the Party. In a small room at school, under the national flag, I solemnly recited the oath: "Carry it with me for the rest of my life to live honestly, live usefully and always for the people".

A year later, when I put on the BIDV Ha Long uniform, I was proud to serve my homeland, fulfilling my oath through my daily work. I understood the teaching: "Banking work is the work of trust." And I have built that trust every day with sincerity, smiles, and dedicated, meticulous work. I believe that if the generation of comrade Nguyen Tat Toan were the pioneers, then my generation will be the ones to keep the fire burning, lighting up the Party's ideals in the digital transformation era. Technology can change the way of working, but it cannot change the serving heart of a Party member.
And when the Party oath is merged with the promise of service
If someone asks: "How do bankers serve the Fatherland?", perhaps the simplest yet most profound answer is: Service from each customer. Each signed credit contract is not only a financial commitment, but also a trust between people. Each new account opened, each successful transaction is a small but solid step in the journey of digitalizing the economy. And each support package, each preferential loan for small businesses, cooperatives, fishermen in the sea and islands... is the way BIDV Ha Long contributes to building a strong homeland.

The spirit of "Party members go first, units follow" has become a distinctive culture. Comrade Nguyen Dinh Minh, Branch Director, shared: "Every lending decision, every capital released to the market is associated with political responsibility, with the people's trust. Working in a bank is not only managing money but also managing trust." When the "Party member oath" is combined with the "promise to customers", that power becomes magical. Each BIDV Ha Long officer understands that serving customers is serving the Fatherland. A branch can achieve good business figures in the year, but the true courage lies in the culture of service - something not measured by numbers but felt by the heart. That is cultivated through smiles, exemplary manners, charity trips to remote areas, and in each Party cell meeting. They call each other "comrade" and consider each other as brothers, sharing pressure and success together.
Serving the Fatherland is not a distant thing, it exists in every small action, in every right decision, in every time the people's interests are put first. For BIDV Ha Long, each customer is a part of the Fatherland and serving them with all your heart is the way to serve your country. And I believe that, from that flow, the young generation of BIDV Ha Long today will continue to preserve and beautify that "brand of trust" with intelligence, with aspiration, and with a steadfast heart towards the two words "Serving." Because more than anyone, they understand that: Serving customers is serving the Fatherland in the way of BIDV people in the new era.
