
The delegation included members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, leaders of the City People's Council and representatives of a number of departments and branches; Comrade Dao Manh Hung, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province.

In memory of the great contributions of the heroic martyrs, the Party Committee, government, army and people of Hai Phong city vow to continue to make efforts, unite and strive to build the city more and more prosperous and modern, becoming the leading city in the country in the cause of industrialization and modernization.
Truong Son Martyrs Cemetery is located on Ben Tat hill, next to Ho Chi Minh trail, in Con Tien commune, Quang Tri province. The cemetery is currently the resting place of more than 10,200 martyrs, including 725 sons of Hai Phong who heroically sacrificed on the Ho Chi Minh trail, during the resistance war against America to save the country.
Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery is a monumental, large-scale, highly artistic work of gratitude, expressing the deep remembrance, gratitude and honor of the entire Party, army and people for the sons and daughters across the country who sacrificed their blood and bones for the cause of national liberation and reunification.
The National Cemetery of Road 9 Martyrs is the resting place of more than 10,800 heroic martyrs, including 275 martyrs from Hai Phong. These are heroic martyrs who fought and served on the Road 9 front and in Laos throughout the resistance war against the US to save the country.
On this occasion, Hai Phong city presented Quang Tri province with 1 billion VND to contribute to the locality's implementation of social security work. Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Tien Chau presented gifts to encourage the Management Board of Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery, Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery and Quang Tri Ancient Citadel.
Quang Tri Citadel is the place where the 81-day and night fierce battle took place to protect every inch of the beloved Fatherland. The sacrifice of the soldiers is a symbol of the heroism of the Vietnamese revolution. During the 81-day and night battle, many cadres and soldiers lay down their lives here. Their blood was mixed into the ground, into the Thach Han River so that the country could have an independent day, and the people could be free and happy like today. Currently, Quang Tri is the only locality in the country with 2 national martyrs' cemeteries and 70 martyrs' cemeteries throughout the province.


The Secretary of the City Party Committee and the city delegation offered incense and flowers to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at the Quang Tri ancient citadel relic.
