On the afternoon of October 9, at the headquarters of the Provincial People's Council - People's Committee, Comrade Lai Van Hoan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, worked with the working delegation of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) on the implementation of the project to upgrade the left and right dykes of Tra Ly River to meet the requirements of flood drainage and traffic in Hung Yen province.

At the meeting, delegates heard a preliminary report on the project to upgrade the left and right dykes of Tra Ly River to meet the requirements of flood drainage and traffic in Hung Yen province. The project is expected to be implemented from 2026 to 2029, aiming to upgrade the dyke system and embankment of Tra Ly River to respond to climate change, reduce the risk of landslides, protect people's property; create a riverside traffic route, contributing to the development of the province's traffic system to serve the work of inspection, rescue, national security and socio -economic development of the province. The project has a total estimated investment of about 200 million USD. Of which, the ADB loan from the Asian Development Bank to invest in construction and installation items is 160 million USD; domestic counterpart capital for site clearance items, construction investment consultancy, project management, other expenses and contingency is 40 million USD.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lai Van Hoan agreed with the recommendations of the ADB working group on the implementation of the project to upgrade the left and right dykes of Tra Ly River to meet the requirements of flood drainage and traffic in Hung Yen province. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that the project will be implemented soon, effectively, economically and with high practicality. At the same time, he assigned relevant departments and branches to receive the contributions and recommendations of the ADB working group; evaluate the effectiveness of the project for the socio-economic development of the province; ensure connection and synchronization with the province's infrastructure.
