Since the beginning of the year, youth union members and young people throughout the province have implemented more than 680 youth projects and initiatives at all levels with a total value of nearly 20 billion VND. Many projects and models have brought practical value such as: digitizing red addresses; eliminating dilapidated houses; lighting up rural roads; flower-decorated utility poles; civilized streets; youth-led gardens; collecting solid waste in exchange for school supplies; donating free Wi-Fi hotspots; building and maintaining security camera models...
Responding to the "Youth Joining Hands to Build New Rural Areas" movement and the "Youth Volunteers for a Green Environment" program, the Youth Union of Tien La commune has implemented a youth project, "Pesticide Packaging Collection Tanks," with 15 tanks donated and installed in 5 villages within the commune, at a total cost of approximately 8 million VND. This activity contributes to raising awareness and responsibility among people in the proper use and disposal of pesticide packaging, building a safe and sustainable agricultural production environment. Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan, a resident of Nham Lang village, said: "Thanks to the collection tanks, the disposal of pesticide packaging is more convenient and safer. The villagers are very happy because it protects their health, keeps the rural landscape green, clean, and beautiful, and at the same time, forms a habit of safe and civilized production."
In implementing the Resolution of the 16th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Hung Yen province, term 2022-2027, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union launched the "Digitization of Historical Sites" program in the province. The application of new technology contributes to facilitating the dissemination and education of revolutionary ideals to the younger generation, while also demonstrating the pioneering, innovative, and creative spirit of youth in promoting digital transformation and contributing to the development of smart tourism in the province. Immediately after the movement was launched, the Youth Union of Duong Hao ward coordinated with specialized units to implement the "Digitization of Historical Sites" project at the Memorial House of the Hoang Ngan Hung Yen female guerrilla force and the Hero of the People's Armed Forces Vu Thi Kinh (Tran Thi Khang). This project applied VR360 technology, converting information, documents, images, introductions, and historical events into digital data, 360-degree images, and AI-powered explanations. With just a QR code scan or by accessing the website, residents and tourists can learn about and update information, and listen to virtual assistants providing live commentary on the historical sites. Comrade Nguyen Kien Quyen, Secretary of the Youth Union of Duong Hao Ward, said: "The 'Digitizing Red Addresses' project is a source of pride for the youth of Duong Hao Ward, and it contributes to bringing revolutionary traditions closer to young people. We hope that through this project, the younger generation will become more attached to and nurture national pride, and continuously strive to contribute to their homeland."
In recent times, the implementation of youth projects and initiatives has become a highlight of youth union activities. With the motto "Wherever youth are needed, youth will be there; whatever is difficult, youth will overcome it," youth union members throughout the province have continuously demonstrated their pioneering role, readily undertaking challenging and innovative tasks, actively contributing to the construction of new rural areas, the development of civilized urban areas, maintaining security and order, ensuring traffic safety, and participating in social welfare activities. Each youth project and initiative implemented by local youth union branches not only has practical significance but also creates an environment for youth union members to develop a sense of responsibility, contributing to the successful completion of political tasks in their localities. Furthermore, it serves as a bridge to build greater trust in the younger generation among the people, affirming the role of young people as pioneers and volunteers for the community.
With the achievements from these youth models and projects, an important foundation has been laid for the youth of Hung Yen to continue to promote a positive and creative spirit in the new phase. In the coming time, to continue to effectively promote youth projects and activities, the Provincial Youth Union will continue to direct all levels of the Youth Union to further promote the pioneering, volunteer, and creative role of young people in implementing youth projects and activities.
