Previously, the Provincial Party Standing Committee held a Conference to announce the Decision of the Central Party Secretariat on the transfer and appointment of comrade Nguyen Huy Dung, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications , to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, term 2020-2025.
At the meeting, the delegates of the Provincial People's Council carried out the procedure to dismiss the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 14th term, 2021 - 2026, for comrade Trinh Viet Hung, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, because he was elected by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee and approved by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee from July 12, 2024.

Next, the Provincial People's Council carried out the process of electing the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 14th term, 2021 - 2026, by secret ballot.
As a result, comrade Nguyen Huy Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province for the 14th term, 2021 - 2026, with a vote rate of 98.4%.
In his acceptance speech, the new Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huy Dung thanked the Provincial Party Executive Committee for their trust and recommendation, and the Provincial People's Council delegates for their trust in electing him to the position of Chairman of the Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee.

As Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Huy Dung affirmed that he will strive to promote the potential and strengths to continue developing Thai Nguyen province, contributing to the overall development of the country. At the meeting, the delegates also carried out the procedure to remove from office the deputy of the People's Council of Thai Nguyen province, term XIV, term 2021 - 2026 for comrade Nguyen Thanh Hai, member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, former Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province, due to his transfer of work from July 15, 2024.
After implementing the personnel work process, the Provincial People's Council delegates continued to discuss and vote to pass the resolutions submitted at the Session.
