The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee grasps the situation at Mai Son Industrial Park.

On February 20, Comrade Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, visited and assessed the situation at Mai Son Industrial Park. Accompanying him were Comrade Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of a number of provincial departments, agencies and branches and leaders of Mai Son district.

Mai Son Industrial Park has a scale of 150 hectares, located in the planning for the development of industrial parks in Vietnam until 2015 and orientation to 2020, approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1107/QD-TTg dated August 21, 2006. Phase I has a scale of 63.7 hectares, phase II has a scale of 86.3 hectares.

Currently, there are 3 projects in production and business operation, including: BHL Son La Agricultural Products Processing Factory; Petrolimex Gas Filling Station; Thanh Nhung Forestry Products Processing Factory, contributing to increasing the value of agricultural and forestry products for people in raw material growing areas; creating jobs for 181 workers, creating stable income for workers with an average of 6 million VND/person/month. Accumulated to the end of 2023, the total revenue of enterprises in production and business operation reached nearly 2,500 billion VND, export value reached more than 77 million USD, budget contribution reached more than 22 billion VND.

The delegation visited the production line at BHL Son La Agricultural Processing Factory.

At the meeting, members of the working delegation and representatives of enterprises discussed and exchanged about the planning and operation management of industrial parks, investment attraction, business operations; difficulties and obstacles in site clearance at Mai Son Industrial Park... Enterprises hope that Son La province and the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board will continue to pay attention to investing in completing the infrastructure of industrial parks; shortening the time to handle administrative procedures to improve the investment and business environment.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Lo Minh Hung requested the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to strictly implement the conclusions of the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on Mai Son Industrial Park; focus on directing the removal of difficulties and obstacles in land acquisition and site clearance; direct relevant departments and branches to complete state management work, resolve administrative procedures to improve the investment and business environment for enterprises in Mai Son Industrial Park; balance and allocate capital to complete infrastructure.
