"Partnering in innovation - creating new value"

That was the topic of the training conference on implementing policies and tasks related to innovation, organized by the Department of Science and Technology in coordination with the Provincial Tax Department, at the Provincial Conference Center on May 28th.

Attending the training session were delegates representing provincial departments and agencies; science and technology officials from the People's Committees of communes and wards; associations; businesses; science and technology organizations; universities and colleges in the province… The conference was part of a series of activities in response to Vietnam Science, Technology and Innovation Day (May 18) in the province.

The training conference included the following main topics: policies for developing science and technology enterprises; policies for establishing the Science and Technology Development Fund for enterprises and the Innovation Startup Investment Fund; innovation policy mechanisms for enterprises; policies to promote the development of the innovation system, the innovation startup ecosystem, and to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the community.

Mr. Nguyen Van Gioi, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, said that in recent times, Vinh Long province has focused on decisively implementing many policies and guidelines from the Central Government, especially Resolution No. 57 dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. As a result, the province has achieved positive results in administrative reform, building a digital government, and improving the quality of service for citizens and businesses.

This training conference aims to guide and disseminate policies and guidelines on innovation. It also provides an opportunity for sharing and exchange among government agencies, schools, and businesses. Through this, we can listen to the concerns, suggestions, initiatives, and difficulties and obstacles faced by businesses in the process of forming, applying, and developing innovation activities in the new era.
