Storms damaged houses of 16 households in Tan Linh commune

The storm that swept through 6 villages of the commune on the afternoon of July 19 knocked down many crops, blew off the roofs of some households, and damaged outbuildings.

According to information from the People's Committee of Tan Linh commune, at 3:45 p.m. on July 19, a thunderstorm occurred in the commune, causing many crops to be knocked down, 16 households had their roofs blown off, and ancillary structures damaged.

Some houses had their roofs blown off and factory buildings damaged.

Speaking to reporters, a leader of Tan Linh commune said that according to initial statistics, the storm caused 15 houses to have their roofs blown off, 1 house had a tree fall on it; many trees were broken, causing traffic jams, damaging some outbuildings and power lines.

Immediately after the disaster, Tan Linh commune authorities mobilized militia, police and local people to clear fallen trees to ensure traffic and repair houses for affected households to stabilize their lives.

Tan Linh commune was merged from Minh Chuan, Tan Lap, Phan Thanh, Khai Trung, Tan Linh communes (old Luc Yen district).
