The results of efforts

“Outstanding Young Teacher” is not only an award for teachers under 35 years old but also a recognition for the enthusiastic contributions of youth to the cause of educating people. Lao Cai Provincial Youth Union has organized this award 3 times to 78 teachers. Thereby, creating a positive influence, becoming an important driving force to encourage the spirit of dedication of young teachers in the province.

Solid expertise, active in Youth Union activities

Teacher Vu Phuong Huyen - teacher of Yen Bai Ethnic Boarding High School is one of the teachers who has just been awarded the "Outstanding Young Teacher" Award at the provincial level. Teaching Chemistry, she always focuses on helping students grasp knowledge and apply it creatively in practice. She has applied many different methods such as: applying technology, using learning games, creating a collaborative learning environment to help students discuss in groups and present ideas.

Not only does she update her lessons, she also directly guides students to participate in the Provincial Science and Technology Competition for high school students. In particular, in the national high school graduation exam, she had a student who scored 10 points in Chemistry. In addition to her professional efforts, Ms. Huyen is also an active member of the School Youth Union's Communications Committee.

The award is a great source of motivation for me to continue to develop further in teaching and Youth Union activities. At the same time, the award also reminds me to always maintain a sense of responsibility, continue to strive to be worthy of the trust of colleagues, parents and students - Ms. Huyen said.

Each teacher has their own experiences to impart to students. These experiences are drawn from the teaching process and continuous learning.

I always seek teaching methods, evoking historical stories that "touch" the emotions so that students can acquire knowledge themselves. Thanks to that, each lesson becomes a journey of discovery . History is not only a dry subject, difficult to remember with events but also brings value in modern times.

In addition, she is also directly in charge of the school's History Club with many exciting activities. Therefore, in the provincial History competition for excellent middle school students in the 2024-2025 school year, Ms. Thuy had 5 students win prizes, including 1 first prize.

Focus on training young teachers

They are two of dozens of teachers who have won the “Outstanding Young Teacher” Award at the provincial level. This title is not only a milestone in teaching, scientific research and Union activities, but also a timely form of recognition, spreading bright examples of responsibility, innovation and creativity in the profession. Since then, many other young teachers have been inspired, actively practicing their expertise, teaching ethics and participating in youth movements.

Nguyen Tat Thanh High School for the Gifted is a school with many excellent teachers receiving awards.

Over the past 5 years, with rapid growth in scale, the school has recruited 23 young teachers. Teacher training is a focused and regular task. To effectively train young teachers in high schools, it is necessary to synchronously deploy many solutions; in which, focusing on expertise, skills, professional qualities, building a learning environment, encouraging and motivating, long-term development, to help teachers mature quickly, meeting the requirements of educational innovation.

The Board of Directors of Nguyen Tat Thanh High School for the Gifted has assigned experienced teachers to directly support young teachers in teaching methods and create opportunities for contribution; assigning tasks in educational activities to help young teachers practice their mettle and confidence.

Training is also focused on through class observation, experience sharing, and professional activities so that teachers can learn practically. The school encourages the use of digital technology, teaching software, and artificial intelligence in lesson preparation; at the same time, promptly encourages and rewards teachers with outstanding achievements.

Through the awarding of the “Outstanding Young Teacher” Award, the coordination between Lao Cai Provincial Youth Union and the education and training sector has been implemented closely, effectively and synchronously. The two units have jointly developed clear and transparent selection criteria, ensuring the correct assessment of the capacity, qualities and substantial contributions of young teachers.

The coordination does not stop at the implementation stage but is also clearly demonstrated through the process of reviewing, nominating and organizing the recognition of outstanding individuals. The school's Youth Union actively coordinates with the school board to discover and introduce bright examples. This smooth coordination has helped the selection activities become more and more substantial, spreading widely and creating motivation for the young teaching staff.

At the same time, it contributes to improving the quality of Youth Union work in schools, closely linking expertise with youth movements, building the image of a typical, comprehensive young teacher.

Each award is a new step in the journey of professional growth. Each outstanding young teacher will be a blooming flower in the garden of education, nurturing good seeds for life.
