The beauty of the Thai Nguyen teacher who was just honored as an outstanding young teacher is causing a stir.

Teacher Le Thi Khanh Han (born in 1990) is currently working at Quang Trung Secondary School ( Thai Nguyen City, Thai Nguyen Province) - where she brings inspiring and creative Music lessons.

With a passion for the profession, the young teacher has cultivated her professional knowledge and improved her teaching methods to suit the needs and learning abilities of her students. In her lessons, in addition to professional knowledge, Ms. Han integrateseducation on ethics and lifestyle, education on national defense and security, etc.

“Through songs and music lessons, I want to convey to students the message to strive for and enjoy a beautiful, happy life,” said Ms. Han.

The young teacher also regularly updates "trendy" songs for young people into her teaching to help make the teaching atmosphere more cheerful and exciting.

“I often include new content or songs that are trending and popular. However, I need to select songs that are suitable for my students’ age. I have included some songs that students really like in my lessons, such as: ‘Going in the Bright Sky’ or ‘Oh Vietnam!’, ‘Vietnam in My Heart’, ‘The Taste of Love’,” Ms. Han said.

What the young teacher is concerned about is that nowadays, with modern and trendy songs, students often update very quickly. However, traditional music, folk music, etc. are less interested by students. "I encourage students to listen more, to feel more folk music, folk songs... From there, they gradually feel the beauty of traditional culture", Ms. Han said.

In addition to teaching music , the 9X teacher also introduces and practices folk dances with students. In the 2023-2024 school year, Ms. Han was honored to receive the title of "Excellent Music Teacher" at the provincial level. This is one of the proofs affirming the dedication and outstanding ability of the 9X teacher in the profession.

After 12 years of working at two schools, many students were impressed by her beautiful appearance. Ms. Han shared that she was very happy to receive compliments and love from her students. "I am also often close to the students, so they often give me compliments and encouragement like that," Ms. Han smiled.

The young teacher believes that appearance is also a factor that helps make the teaching profession easier. “Perhaps that makes young students more excited when they see me in class. However, I think the most important thing is still the way I approach and convey it to students. My lessons must be engaging, making students enjoy going to class – that is the most important thing.”

Not only is she a music teacher, Ms. Han is also the leader of the Youth Union of Quang Trung Secondary School.

In her role, Ms. Han also regularly calls on students from the whole school to donate and support old books and clothes to join hands with many other school Unions to help disadvantaged students in the province. “This movement is very well received by the members of the Union at my school. This is also an activity that I want to spread and share.

Nowadays, many unfortunate cases happen to students such as school violence, depression, even foolish acts such as suicide… because they do not realize the value of life. I always feel that I need to do something within my ability to change that situation, at least right in my own school,” Ms. Han said.

Whether through her work as a Team Leader or through her music lessons, the young teacher always tries to help her students understand the value of gratitude. This comes from the smallest things like being grateful to parents, teachers, and more broadly, being grateful for living in a peaceful, free country...

What makes Ms. Han happiest is that her efforts and those of her colleagues are helping the school's students become more obedient, know how to ask and care for others; be united, self-conscious in studying, maintain public hygiene, etc.

“Currently, students have very little time for extracurricular activities. I hope they will have more time, more playgrounds, and more meaningful activities to stay away from negative issues in school,” Ms. Han said.

With her personal achievements and contributions to students, schools and the education sector of Thai Nguyen City throughout her career, recently, teacher Le Thi Khanh Han was also honored by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union as an Outstanding Young Teacher at the Central level in 2024.
