For many members of the delegation, this was the first time they had set foot in Vi Xuyen – a place known as the “red address” to honor heroic martyrs. And it was also here that many generations of the nation’s elite children lay down their lives, their twenties forever left in the mountains and forests.
Doctor Do Duc Trung, Department of Joint Surgery, 108 Central Military Hospital, a doctor in the delegation, shared emotionally: “We could not hold back our tears when reading the tombstones with the words “Name Unknown”. But in the hearts of every Vietnamese citizen, you will forever be heroic, immortal sons of the country”.

The journey back to the source, visiting the Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery is a journey of gratitude and a profound lesson about patriotism, responsibility and the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" that today's and future generations must always remember.
Bowing respectfully, offering wreaths and incense sticks to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs, the delegation promised to continuously train, contribute, and promote the tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers, to be worthy of the great sacrifices of previous generations.
