According to the financial report for the first quarter of 2025, ACB recorded a pre-tax profit of more than VND 4,600 billion, maintaining a high return on equity (ROE), among the leading groups in the private commercial joint stock banking system. As of the end of the first quarter, ACB 's credit scale reached VND 590,000 billion, an increase of 3.1% over the same period last year.
Total capital mobilization (including customer deposits and valuable papers) reached VND664,000 billion, up 4% over the previous year. Notably, in the past 5 years, ACB has always been in the top group in terms of business performance, credit scale, capital mobilization and asset quality.
Not only achieving impressive business results, ACB is also highly appreciated by international credit rating organizations. Fitch Ratings has upgraded the bank's long-term credit outlook from "stable" to "positive". Along with that, domestic credit rating organization FiinRatings also maintains ACB's rating at AA+, "stable" outlook, reflecting a healthy financial foundation and high level of safety in operations.
Mr. Tu Tien Phat, General Director of ACB, said that 2025 marks the beginning of the 2025 - 2030 strategic period, with the main goal of maintaining a minimum ROE of 20% as in the past 5 years, while gradually improving profitability. The business segments related to individual customers, corporate customers and financial institutions continue to be the main growth drivers. The new point in the strategy is to increase investment in the corporate customer segment, the financial market segment and subsidiaries to optimize operational efficiency.
ACB focuses on developing individual customers
ACB's strength lies in the individual customer group. Credit demand in this group has increased due to the recovery of the real estate market. In addition, the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) group has also shown positive growth signals. ACB has deployed a total support package of VND 40,000 billion, of which VND 20,000 billion is for SMEs and VND 20,000 billion for large enterprises investing in infrastructure and digital technology . Preferential interest rates are 2% or more lower than usual.
This support package includes unsecured loans for export customers, supply chain financing, unsecured overdrafts for SMEs, and long-term credit to help improve sustainable competitiveness. In addition, ACB has also launched a preferential credit package specifically for young people to borrow to buy houses.
Implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation and requirements from the global market as well as changes in customer behavior, ACB has been investing heavily in technology infrastructure and advanced risk management models, aiming to build a sustainable, innovative ACB, ready to break through in the digital age.
