Living in a big family that is always willing to help people in difficult circumstances with their own strength, it is from there that the young girl Phan Tieu Ngan's kindness was nurtured. Following her parents to participate in social activities, visiting and giving gifts to lonely elderly people, people with disabilities or distributing tons of rice at home "planted" in that kind heart the love for people, sharing with unfortunate lives.

Journey of charity
And that is where the journey of charity of the young girl in the Hong Ngu border area began. It started like a new day, a warm dawn full of faith and hope. Whenever she encountered a difficult, arduous situation that needed support, compassion arose, and Tieu Ngan immediately thought of a way to help.
That journey of charity must probably be attributed to a predestined relationship that began in 2016... The miserable images of old people selling lottery tickets, scrap collectors, street vendors, porters... urged the young girl's compassionate heart to do something. As a result, every month, hundreds of free vegetarian meals are shared with everyone. At the same time, Tieu Ngan also gives gifts and necessities to people in especially difficult circumstances.
Mr. Nguyen Tran Quyet, Secretary of the Youth Union of Hong Ngu City (formerly), said that he personally found Tieu Ngan's activities over the past time to be meaningful and humane, supporting social security activities in the locality very well, spreading the beautiful image of a young volunteer for the community.

There is no charity work that Tieu Ngan refuses, from supporting especially difficult circumstances to cases of sudden serious illness or houses lacking money to build or repair... Just like Tieu Ngan believes in "doing within one's capacity", wherever there is a need, Tieu Ngan is there, whether it is a long distance of tens of kilometers or a scorching hot afternoon in a remote border area, no matter how difficult the roads are.
In this humanitarian journey, perhaps the most memorable for Tieu Ngan is the situation of Nguyen Thien Nhan. Nhan was born only a few days ago but was diagnosed with brain disease, severe malnutrition, and was in critical condition. If he did not have money to transfer to a hospital in time, his life would be in danger. From Nhan's family's cry for help, Tieu Ngan mobilized relatives and friends to donate nearly 40 million VND after just over 1 hour of calling, helping Nhan's family overcome difficulties and save his life. Currently, Nhan is in good health, following his parents to work in Ho Chi Minh City.

Each situation that is helped has a touching story behind it, such as the situation of a lonely old person receiving monthly support, the image of a poor couple suffering from a serious illness or children in the border area who have never known the taste of moon cakes. Tieu Ngan's contribution to saving the lives of many situations facing the "grim reaper" has inspired positivity, spread to the community, helped many young people learn, set an example and be ready to accompany.

Mr. Huynh Van Dang - Secretary of the Youth Union of An Thanh Ward - said that after working with Ms. Tieu Ngan for nearly 5 years, he felt that he had learned a lot from her, from her heart full of compassion. Her thoughtfulness, dedication and closeness make the distance between the giver and the receiver not too far. Charitable gifts are always full of love, laughter and happiness.

Youth is only once in a lifetime
Regarding her philanthropic journey, Tieu Ngan confided: "I never thought that the things I have done in the past would be recognized or praised by everyone. I only know that when people need me, with my strength and ability to help, I will try my best in everything, because youth only comes once in a lifetime."
Looking at the summary report of 10 years of volunteer activities of Tieu Ngan, we are impressed with the numbers that the young girl has achieved: mobilizing support for nearly 60 cases of serious illness with the amount of more than 1.7 billion VND; building 5 houses for lonely elderly people with nearly 180 million VND; supporting thousands of notebooks, scholarships, lanterns, moon cakes, bicycles for studious students; every month, together with the Charity Kitchen, supporting breakfast and necessities with nearly 2,500 portions for the poor, lonely elderly people, lottery ticket sellers, disabled people...
With these positive actions, Phan Tieu Ngan has just received a certificate of merit from the People's Committee of Dong Thap province at the 10-year summary program (2016 - 2025 period) on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style; a certificate of merit for studying and following Uncle Ho's example from the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and many certificates of merit from the City Party Committee, People's Committee of Hong Ngu City (old), Standing Committee of the Hong Ngu City Youth Union...
That young girl has given us many valuable lessons from kindness, sincerity, youthful enthusiasm and above all, love for humanity. From now on, Phan Tieu Ngan's story will continue to be written, the journey of kindness and sowing seeds of love will always follow this young girl...
