Real estate stocks plummet, VN-Index drops more than 12 points

In the trading session on July 21, strong cash flow still flowed into the market, helping VN-Index easily surpass the 1,500-point mark right at the opening. However, profit-taking pressure increased from the end of the morning session, in which real estate stocks plummeted, causing VN-Index to shake and close the session down 12.23 points to 1,485.05 points.

In this session, stocks that had a positive impact on the VN-Index included: VPB, HVN, LPB, HPG with an increase of more than 4.2 points. On the contrary, stocks: VIC, VHM, TCB, VCB were sold heavily and took away more than 12.2 points from the VN-Index.

On the HoSE floor, the matched order value this session decreased compared to the previous session, reaching more than 32,831.96 billion VND.

Foreign investors returned to net buying approximately 181 billion VND on the HoSE floor in this session. On the buying side, VPB shares were bought the most with a value of more than 221 billion VND, followed by VIC (74 billion VND), SSI (69 billion VND), NVL (66 billion VND)... On the contrary, VCB was sold the most (147 billion VND), followed by FPT (143 billion VND), VIX (86 billion VND), VCI (65 billion VND)...

Today's session, the VN30 group of stocks fluctuated from the end of the morning session and closed with 12 stocks increasing, 1 stock remaining unchanged and 17 stocks decreasing.

Of which, VPB increased the most by 4.45% to VND22,300/share, followed by SHB increasing by 2.82% to VND14,600/share, LPB increased by 2.6%, VJC increased by 1.93%, VIB increased by 1.46%, HPG increased by 1.16%.

Codes: ACB , CTG, FPT, GVR, HDB, SSB increased slightly, and TPB stopped at reference.

On the other hand, VIC fell the most, losing 5.88% to VND112,000/share, followed by VHM down 4.17% to VND92,000/share, TCB down 2.21%, MSN down 2.02%, VRE down 1.53%, SSI down 1.42%, STB down 1.39%, BCM down 1.33%, BVH down 1.14%, SAB down 1.04%.

The remaining codes: BID, GAS, MBB, MWG, PLX, VCB, VNM decreased slightly.

In terms of industry groups, steel stocks were differentiated. While HPG increased by 1.16%, HSG and NKG increased slightly, TLH stopped at the reference, VCA decreased by 3.98%, SMC decreased by 3.42%, DTL decreased by 2.8%, HMC decreased slightly.

Securities stocks were under high profit-taking pressure, closing the session down 1.11%. Besides SSI mentioned above, VDS decreased by 4.35%, TVB decreased by 4.71%, BSI decreased by 3.29%, AGR decreased by 2.74%, FTS decreased by 2.68%, VCI decreased by 2.52%, TCI decreased by 2.17%, VND decreased by 2.16%, HCM decreased by 1.8%, DSC decreased by 1.16%. On the other hand, CTS increased by 4.21%, VIX increased by 2.39%, APG, DSE, TVS increased slightly, ORS stopped at reference.

The red in banking stocks is increasingly widespread and ended the session down slightly by 0.01%. In addition to the codes: ACB, BID, CTG, HDB, LPB, MBB, SHB, SSB, STB, TCB, TPB, VCB, VPB, VIB in the VN30 group mentioned above, other codes such as: EIB, MSB increased slightly, NAB, OCB decreased slightly.

Similarly, real estate stocks were sold off heavily at the end of the session and fell the most in the market, losing 3.37%. In addition to the pillar codes: VIC, VHM, VRE, BCM mentioned above, LDG, PTL, VRC hit the floor, DXG decreased by 2.83%, DXS decreased by 4.33%, HAR decreased by 3.52%, HDG decreased by 3.96%, HTN decreased by 3.64%, KHG decreased by 4.43%, LGL decreased by 3.6%, NVL decreased by 2.36%, PDR decreased by 2.68%, SCR decreased by 4.17%... Meanwhile, the codes: ITC, SJS still went against the trend and increased by the full margin.

Other stock sectors such as: telecommunications services decreased by 2.07%, food-beverage and tobacco decreased by 1.34%, consumer services decreased by 1.25%, energy decreased by 1.23%, insurance, industrial goods, and essential aviation trade decreased slightly.

On the other hand, transportation, raw materials, utilities, software and services increased slightly.

* The Vietnamese stock market index lost a lot of points at the end of the session today, VNXALL-Index closed down 11.96 points (-0.48%), down to 2,472.97 points. Liquidity with trading volume reached over 1.492 billion units, equivalent to trading value of 35,969.99 billion VND. In the whole market, there were 148 stocks increasing in price, 82 stocks remaining unchanged and 238 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 245.79 points, down 1.98% (-0.80%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 151.77 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND2,686.779 billion. The entire floor had 79 stocks increasing, 54 stocks remaining unchanged and 104 stocks decreasing.

The HNX30 index closed down 7.69 points (-1.46%) to 517.63 points. Trading volume reached about 104.17 million units, with a corresponding value of more than VND2,198.471 billion. The HNX30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 8 stocks increasing, 4 stocks remaining unchanged and 18 stocks decreasing.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM Index decreased, closing at 104.27 points, down 0.47 points (-0.45%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached more than 73.41 million shares, corresponding trading value reached more than VND 870,237 billion. The UPCoM group of stocks ended the trading day with 150 stocks increasing, 107 stocks remaining unchanged and 118 stocks decreasing.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed down 12.23 points (-0.82%) to 1,485.05 points. Liquidity reached over 1.455 billion units, equivalent to a trading value of VND34,602.21 billion. The entire floor had 118 stocks increasing, 49 stocks remaining unchanged and 203 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index decreased by 15.85 points (-0.96%) to 1,628.06 points. Liquidity reached more than 513.80 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND15,472.25 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 12 stocks increasing, 1 stock remaining unchanged and 17 stocks decreasing.

The 5 stocks with the highest trading volume are SHB (over 101.95 million units), VPB (over 72.58 million units), VIX (over 71.03 million units), HPG (over 55.77 million units), EVF (over 38.08 million units).

The 5 stocks with the highest price increase were SJS (6.99%), HVX (6.99%), GMH (6.97%), HTI (6.96%), PAC (6.96%).

The 5 stocks with the biggest price decrease were HVN (-15.73%), TN1 (-15.55%), FPT (-12.46%), ABS (-6.97%), DCL (-6.96%).

* Today's derivatives market had 261,855 contracts traded, worth more than VND 42,873.73 billion.
