According to the forecast of the An Giang Province Hydrometeorological Station, at 4:00 p.m. on July 20, storm No. 3 entered the East Sea, with the center of the storm about 560 km east of Quang Ninh - Hai Phong. The strongest wind near the center of the storm reached level 12 (118-133 km/h), gusting to level 15; the storm moved west at a speed of 20-25 km/h. The North East Sea had strong winds of level 8-10, near the center of the storm level 11-12, gusting to level 15; waves were 5-7m high, and the sea was rough.

In An Giang province, due to the impact of storm No. 3, there has been prolonged heavy rain; especially in the sea area of An Giang province, the West to Southwest wind is strong at level 4 to level 5, during thunderstorms there is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind at level 6-7, the sea is slightly rough, waves are from 0.75 -1.5m high. Bad weather and oceanographic conditions affect tourism activities, especially outdoor recreational activities, at sea as well as underwater recreational activities in sea and island areas.

To ensure the safety of tourists, the Department of Tourism of An Giang province requires tourism businesses and local authorities in communes, wards, and special zones with bustling sea and island tourism activities such as Phu Quoc, Ha Tien, Nam Du (belonging to Kien Hai special zone) ... to closely monitor forecasts and warnings about storms and rains; promptly provide full information to organizations and individuals providing tourism services and tourists to proactively prevent and respond to weather developments. Localities strengthen inspections and remind tourism businesses in their management areas to strictly follow the instructions of competent authorities on timely response measures to rain, storms, whirlwinds, and strong winds due to the impact of storm No. 3.

The Department of Tourism of An Giang province also requires tourism service businesses to regularly update weather developments, promptly grasp the situation of rain and wind to proactively implement measures to ensure safety for guests; propagate and remind tourists to be more vigilant against the risk of complex weather. For units with beaches and swimming pools, they must arrange a team of professional staff to be on duty for rescue and drowning prevention; install warning signs at unsafe locations, clearly defining the scope of operation of water sports equipment.

In addition, when organizing tours, travel agencies must absolutely ensure the safety of tourists, especially island tours by boat or canoe; do not take tourists to dangerous areas in unusual weather conditions. Tourist areas and spots in the area regularly inspect and urge businesses under their management to strictly implement measures to ensure the safety of tourists, and proactively respond to the rain and wind caused by storm No. 3.
