Pursuant to the Decision of the Minister of National Defense approving the plan of the Government Cipher Committee on organizing activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnamese Cipher Sector, on June 27, 2025, the Head of the Government Cipher Committee issued a plan to organize the Celebration Ceremony and receive the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces.

At the conference, representatives of the Government Cipher Committee reported an overview of the plan for activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam Cipher Sector's Traditional Day, including: Propaganda and education activities; emulation and reward activities; cultural and artistic activities, physical education and sports; mass mobilization policy activities; organizing the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam Cipher Sector's Traditional Day and receiving the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces. Speaking at the conference, Major General Nguyen Huu Hung requested agencies and units under the Ministry of National Defense to coordinate and create favorable conditions to help the Government Cipher Committee organize well the activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam Cipher Industry's Traditional Day. This is an opportunity to widely propagate the 80-year journey of building, fighting and growing of the Vietnam Cipher Industry; the glorious and heroic tradition and achievements, dedication and contributions of the Vietnam Cipher Industry in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. At the same time, it arouses patriotism, pride, spirit, will and responsibility of cadres and employees, strives to overcome all difficulties, constantly innovates, creates, contributes, builds a revolutionary, disciplined and modern Vietnam Cipher Industry, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
