Next victim found in shipwreck in Ha Long Bay

After many days of concentrating forces and means to search and rescue on a large scale in Ha Long Bay, before storm Wipha made landfall, on the morning of July 21, functional forces of Quang Ninh province found the body of a child drifting near Titop Island, Ha Long Bay.

According to verification, this is one of the four people missing in the tourist boat capsized in Ha Long Bay that happened on the afternoon of July 19. Currently, the child's body has been handed over to the hospital for further procedures.

Thus, in the shipwreck that caused 49 people to be in an accident in Ha Long Bay on the afternoon of July 19, in addition to 10 people still alive, 36 people died, only 3 victims are missing at sea. Along with the work of preventing and fighting against storm Wipha, the functional forces of Quang Ninh province are still actively searching for the remaining victims of the shipwreck, with the goal of giving the highest priority to search and rescue work.
