One of three missing victims in the shipwreck in Ha Long Bay has been identified.

After verification, the authorities identified the male body found drifting in Ha Long Bay that was recovered this morning as Nguyen Viet Hung (born in 1979), one of three victims still missing at sea in the capsized tourist boat Bay Xanh 58, license plate QN-7105, which occurred on July 19.

The victim's body was transferred to Bai Chay Hospital.

Currently, the victim's body has been handed over to the family for funeral arrangements.

Previously, at about 12:20 noon today, July 22, after receiving a report from the people about the discovery of a male body drifting in Ha Long Bay, the area between Bai Chay beach and Dau Go cave, the Border Guard Station of Hon Gai port mobilized forces and vehicles to the scene, salvaged and brought the body to shore. The location where the body was discovered was about 500m from the location of the capsized boat in Ha Long Bay (July 19).

Up to now, out of the 49 people on board the Green Bay 58 ship that had an accident on the afternoon of July 19, the authorities have rescued 10 people, found 37 bodies and handed them over to their families. Currently, 2 victims are still missing and the search is still being carried out urgently.

Besides searching at sea, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police also searched in the coastal area of ​​Tuan Chau ward.

In particular, the Border Guard Station of Hon Gai Port (Border Guard Command, Provincial Military Command) mobilized 1 ship and 3 rescue boats on duty in Ha Long Bay; the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Force (Provincial Police) mobilized 2 rescue boats on duty to search and be ready to mobilize and rescue when receiving reports.
