Duy Xuyen compatriots support 4 canoes and 210 gifts in their hometown

DNO - On the morning of November 11, the Duy Xuyen Commune Association in Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Duy Xuyen Commune to organize a gift-giving ceremony to support the locality and people affected by the floods at the end of October.

The Duy Xuyen Commune Association in Ho Chi Minh City donated 4 canoes worth 120 million VND to serve the work of preventing and responding to storms and floods; and presented 210 gifts, each including 300,000 VND in cash and necessities to severely affected households.

The funds for the gifts were mobilized from the contributions of fellow Duy Xuyen people living and working across the country. Of which, the Quang Nam - Da Nang Mutual Support Club supported 1 canoe; businesswoman Nguyen Thi Hoa, a native of Duy Xuyen, supported 1 canoe and 39 million VND.

On behalf of fellow countrymen giving gifts in their hometown, Ms. Nguyen Thi My Dung, Permanent Vice President of the Duy Xuyen Commune Countrymen Association in Ho Chi Minh City, shared that this activity shows the heart towards the homeland, joining hands with the locality to soon overcome the consequences of natural disasters.

It is known that since the end of October until now, fellow countrymen of Duy Xuyen commune everywhere have organized many charity trips, giving hundreds of gifts in their hometown.
