At the press conference in Ho Chi Minh City on the afternoon of November 10, SOOBIN appeared with his father - People's Artist Huynh Tu and his companion Binz. He introduced the MV "Muc Ha Vo Nhan", a product combining folk and modern music materials. The song was inspired by Xam - a type of Northern folk song that SOOBIN renewed to be closer to young audiences.
The MV tells a funny story about two guys pretending to be fortune tellers to tease village girls and being taught a lesson by the villagers to “behave well”. The work was directed by Phuong Vu and Hoang Dang, with the participation of People’s Artist Tu Long, Trung Ruoi, Lan Thy and People’s Artist Huynh Tu.
SOOBIN said that he was raised in a traditional artistic environment since childhood, so he always wanted to have the opportunity to express that spirit in music. Making a MV with his father, according to him, is both a source of pride and gratitude for the journey of both generations.
The name of the concert “All-Rounder” was given to SOOBIN by the audience after he showed his diverse abilities from singing, composing to performing. However, he frankly said: “I don’t dare to call myself an “all-rounder”. This title is very big, I just consider it as motivation to try harder. At every step, I want the audience to see my obvious changes.”
In 2025, SOOBIN held the concert “All-Rounder The Final” in Ho Chi Minh City, concluding a series of musical activities after two successful shows in Hanoi . He said he only chose to perform one night because he wanted to put all his energy into the most complete performance, instead of chasing after quantity.
“As an artist, I have to have ambition to reach bigger dreams. I don't know where I will be in the next 5 years, but I will definitely keep going, because if I don't have a goal, I will regret it," SOOBIN shared.
Along with music, SOOBIN announced the project “Xam to School” to bring folk music closer to young people through workshops and exchanges in three regions. He said that this is a way for the young generation of artists to contribute to preserving and renewing Vietnamese culture.
Once famous for ballads like "Behind a Girl" and "Going to Return", SOOBIN has now chosen a more difficult path: finding his roots and renewing traditional materials. For him, it is a journey that is both challenging and a way to repay the art that has nurtured him.
“The audience can call me whatever they want, as long as they remember my music. The title is not as important as each product bringing real value,” said SOOBIN.
