Soobin brings Xam closer to the audience

On the afternoon of November 10, singer Soobin held a press conference to launch the MV Muc Ha Vo Nhan and Soobin live concert: All-Rounder The Final in Ho Chi Minh City. The event marked two special milestones in the singer's 15-year artistic journey, closing a brilliant 2025.

After Trong Com , the MV Muc Ha Vo Nhan is Soobin's step in the journey to discover traditional identity in his own way. He combines Xam material with modern music , creating a mix that is both rich in national identity and in tune with the contemporary breath. Previously, the song Muc Ha Vo Nhan attracted attention at Soobin's live concert: All-Rounder The Final in Hanoi in May, with a collaboration between the male singer and his father, People's Artist Huynh Tu.

Through this product, Soobin emphasizes that the current generation of artists has the responsibility to preserve and incorporate traditional music into their products to reach more people. He hopes that the younger generation of artists will have works related to the most beautiful culture and traditions of Vietnam.

When asked about Soobin and Binz's Xam singing performance, People's Artist Huynh Tu humorously said "not very good". Artist Huynh Tu said that for nearly 60 years, his wish was for Soobin to do something "related to his father, his father's career". He shared: "Soobin has had certain successes in music, but still nothing related to his father. Because his father is traditional music, the soul of the countryside. Soobin making the MV Muc Ha Vo Nhan can be considered a way to repay his father. So today, I am very touched and proud".

The MV Muc Ha Vo Nhan brings together a cast of guest actors including People's Artist Huynh Tu, People's Artist Tu Long, Trung Ruoi, Do Duy Nam, Lan Thy... and folk instrument artisans. The product has a satirical artistic style, realistically recreating the Northern countryside scene, directed by Phuong Vu and Hoang Dang (Antiantiart) and the SS Label team.

In addition, Soobin also announced the Xam community campaign to schools. This is a CSR project aimed at bringing traditional music, specifically Xam, closer to the young generation, through teaching workshops, exchanges and experiences of Xam at 3 schools in the North, Central and South. He is an ambassador for the project with the hope of spreading love for folk music, contributing to preserving and renewing Vietnamese cultural values.

At the event, Soobin also shared his 15-year journey in the arts. In 2025, he was determined to organize the Soobin live concert: All-Rounder, which will take place for two nights in May 2025, in Hanoi. The male singer said that the concert is a place to help him satisfy his personality and ego.

"From the preparation to the organization was a very difficult journey. But in return, after completing two shows, those were wonderful emotions that I will never forget. I feel that I have truly matured, made myself proud and made those who have silently supported me throughout my journey into the arts up to now. This time, the concert will be available to audiences in Ho Chi Minh City on November 29," he shared.

The male singer admitted that he was worried and a little nervous about the upcoming concert. Soobin live concert: All-rounder The Final will be expanded from an indoor stage to a magnificent outdoor space but still keep the same concept of the first two days. Soobin revealed that there will be changes in the performance to create surprises for the audience. He shared: "To organize a concert night, you have to prepare a lot of things, spend a lot of effort, and gather many people. Besides, I think I will have to devote all my strength, passion, and intelligence to a night of performance, so I don't dare to risk my health. So I can only do one night of performance in Ho Chi Minh City, so that I can burn myself out with the audience."

The male singer said that when he attended G-Dragon’s recent international concert in Hanoi, he not only came to listen to the music but also carefully observed the stage, lights, sound, fireworks and all the elements, watching how international artists interacted and controlled the stage. This helped him gain more experience and ideas for art.

The 9X singer added that when watching big shows with tens of thousands of spectators, he also set bigger goals for his career. Soonbin frankly said: "As an artist, you have to be ambitious to achieve big dreams. I have quite big ambitions. I don't know if I'm still young, some people say I'm old, some call me a young artist. But as long as I'm still singing, my goals will always grow bigger. If I don't have a long-term goal, I will definitely regret it later," he expressed.
