
According to a survey at 9:15 p.m. on November 12, world oil prices fell across the board. WTI crude oil prices fell by $1.31 per barrel (down 2.15%), to $59.73 per barrel. Brent oil prices fell by $1.33 per barrel (down 2.04%), to $63.83 per barrel.
Crude oil prices fell more than 1% in trading on Wednesday, as the market continued to be pressured by oversupply, although investors hoped that the end of the prolonged US government shutdown could help improve energy demand.
For the domestic market, the Vietnam Petroleum Institute (VPI) forecasts that domestic gasoline prices tomorrow may decrease by 0.2 - 0.3% compared to the previous adjustment period. VPI forecasts that the retail price of E5 RON 92 gasoline will remain stable or decrease slightly to VND 19,660/liter, while RON 95 gasoline is forecast to decrease slightly to VND 20,386/liter.
VPI forecasts that in this period, fuel oil prices may continue to decrease by 315 VND to 14,005 VND/kg, while kerosene and diesel prices may increase by 2.2 - 2.3% to 19,417 VND/liter and 19,487 VND/liter, respectively.
VPI forecasts that this period, the Ministry of Finance and Industry and Trade will continue not to set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund.

On the contrary, a representative of a petroleum business said that domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, retail petroleum prices may increase.
Of which, the price of RON 95-III gasoline is forecast to increase by about 110 VND/liter; E5 RON 92-II gasoline will increase by about 90 VND/liter; and Diesel oil will increase by about 460 VND/liter.
In the recent adjustment session (November 6), gasoline prices decreased across the board compared to the previous price adjustment period. Of which, E5 RON 92 gasoline is priced at VND19,682/liter (down VND78/liter). RON 95-III gasoline is priced at VND20,416/liter (down VND72/liter).
Prices of petroleum products fluctuated in opposite directions. Of which, diesel 0.05S is priced at 19,323 VND/liter (up 120 VND/liter); kerosene has a new price of 19,395 VND/liter (up 124 VND/liter); mazut 180CST 3.5S is priced at 14,320 VND/kg (down 319 VND/kg).
