Gasoline prices increased across the board, RON95-III up to 20,576 VND/liter

During the operating period on November 13, domestic gasoline prices increased simultaneously: RON95-III gasoline increased by 160 VND/liter; diesel oil price also increased by 541 VND/liter, to 19,864 VND/liter.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has just sent a document to key traders and distributors of petroleum products regarding the management of domestic retail petroleum prices. Accordingly, petroleum prices will increase simultaneously from 3 p.m. today, November 13.

Specifically, the ceiling price of E5RON92 gasoline is 19,844 VND/liter, an increase of 162 VND/liter; the new price of RON95-III gasoline is 20,576 VND/liter, an increase of 160 VND/liter compared to the previous adjustment on November 6. Following the same trend as gasoline prices, diesel oil increased by 541 VND/liter, to 19,864 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 540 VND/liter, the new price is 19,935 VND/liter; the price of mazut oil decreased by 246 VND, to 14,074 VND/kg.

Since the beginning of the year, the price stabilization fund has remained unchanged with no deductions and no spending on petroleum products. A representative of the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) said the balance of the price stabilization fund (BOG) at the enterprise is 3,086 billion VND.

According to the representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in this management period, the plan to manage gasoline prices aims to ensure that domestic gasoline price fluctuations are consistent with world gasoline price fluctuations; continue to maintain the price difference between E5RON92 biofuel and RON95 mineral gasoline at a reasonable level to encourage the use of biofuels according to the Government's policy; ensure the harmony of interests between market participants.

In the most recent adjustment on November 6, gasoline and oil prices fluctuated in opposite directions, specifically, E5RON92 gasoline decreased by 78 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by 72 VND/liter; in contrast, diesel oil price increased by 120 VND/liter; kerosene increased by 124 VND/liter, and mazut oil decreased by 391 VND/kg.

According to Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading, the time for managing petroleum prices is implemented every Thursday./.
