On the morning of December 12, the Trade Promotion Agency ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) coordinated with domestic and foreign partners to open the Vietnam International Food Industry Exhibition 2025 (Vietnam Foodexpo 2025). This is the largest international trade promotion event in the field of food industry, agricultural products and seafood, hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Vietnam Foodexpo 2025 has a scale of more than 500 booths of nearly 400 Vietnamese and international enterprises, from more than 20 provinces and cities across the country such as DH Foods, GC Food, Bich Chi, Sa Giang, Hapro, Colusa-Miliket, Duong Quang Ngai, Tai Ky, Luong Quoi, Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest , Minh Phu, Dong Giao, Sorfarm...
The exhibition brings together businesses from nearly 20 countries and territories such as Japan, Korea, Thailand, India, Brazil, Canada, Finland, Sweden, New Zealand, Taiwan... In particular, Japan has the largest number of participating businesses ever, nearly 40 units operating in the fields of seafood, processed food and beverages, bringing advanced technology and leading food safety solutions.
In particular, the organic and natural food display area responds to the global green and sustainable consumption trend. Hundreds of vegetables, coffee, tea, honey, coconut oil, spices, etc. that have achieved international certifications such as USDA, EU Organic, JAS will be introduced, clearly demonstrating the sustainable development orientation of the Vietnamese food industry.

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Phan Thi Thang said that Vietnam Foodexpo is the most prominent trade promotion activity in the food industry, considered a national forum of the Vietnamese food industry. Here, hundreds of businesses with thousands of brands, key agricultural and food products of Vietnam and the world's culinary quintessence are introduced, along with the most modern and advanced food processing machinery and technology.
After more than a decade of accompanying businesses, Vietnam Foodexpo has become a prestigious meeting place for the Vietnamese food industry, attracting thousands of domestic and foreign businesses to participate. With professional investment, the exhibition helps businesses promote their brands, expand import-export markets and promote effective business cooperation.
In the context of the global shift to green economy, circular economy and sustainable consumption, Deputy Minister Phan Thi Thang said that in the 2026-2030 period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will implement the program "Promoting the application of science and technology in sustainable production and consumption" on a large scale.
Aiming to develop green products, strengthen green criteria, promote circular economy in potential industries, fields and localities. The goal is to reduce and save input materials, improve production efficiency, while strengthening international cooperation, supporting businesses to research and produce greener products and access green financial resources, especially for small and micro enterprises that are transforming their production models.

As one of the units organizing booths for enterprises and cooperatives to display and introduce products in the shrimp and rice value chain, Mr. Nguyen Le Nhat Thanh, Deputy Head of the Office for Employers and Women Entrepreneurs (VCCI-HCM), said that through this exhibition, VCCI hopes to create a space for connection, association and expansion of opportunities for enterprises and cooperatives to access the market.
The enterprises and cooperatives selected to participate in the exhibition at this booth are units producing rice and shrimp in an ecological, natural and sustainable way, reducing emissions, being environmentally friendly, in line with Vietnam's international commitments on developing green agricultural products. "The goal is to help enterprises and cooperatives improve chain linkages, develop sustainable consumption markets, and contribute to spreading the model of responsible agricultural production with high added value," said Mr. Nguyen Le Nhat Thanh.
The representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade affirmed that Vietnam Foodexpo 2025 is one of the key activities to realize the sustainable development strategy of the Vietnamese food industry. The exhibition not only creates opportunities for businesses to access technology and products suitable for new consumption trends, but also expands the space for trade promotion, meeting partners, promoting brands and expanding markets.

From November 12 to 15, the Vietnam International Food Industry Exhibition 2025 (Vietnam Foodexpo 2025) will take place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC, Ho Chi Minh City). This is the largest international trade promotion event in the field of food, agricultural and aquatic products, chaired by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, assigned to the Trade Promotion Agency to coordinate with domestic and foreign partners.
