Lam Dong province delegation visited and worked in Mondulkiri province, Kingdom of Cambodia

From November 8 to 11, 2025, the Lam Dong Provincial Delegation led by Comrade Pham Thi Phuc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, visited and congratulated the Party, Government and People of Mondulkiri Province, Kingdom of Cambodia on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the Independence Day of the Kingdom of Cambodia (November 9, 1953 - November 9, 2025).

On behalf of the leaders of Lam Dong province, comrade Pham Thi Phuc sent congratulations to the Cambodian people for gaining independence in 1953, opening a new development path with many great achievements in all fields, maintaining political stability, developing the economy and society and enhancing Cambodia's position in the international arena.

The delegation presented souvenirs to the leaders of Mondulkiri province.

Mr. Thang Sa Vun, Governor and Chairman of the Cambodian Fatherland Development Solidarity Front of Mondulkiri province, expressed his deep gratitude for the attention and practical support of the Party, government and people of Lam Dong province in the socio -economic development of Mondulkiri in recent times.

Mr. Thang Sa Vun hopes that the two provinces will soon sign the next phase of the cooperation program agreement, aiming to promote comprehensive cooperation in the fields of economy, culture - society, border, defense, security and foreign affairs.

The Mondulkiri Governor also affirmed that the locality is ready to cooperate with Lam Dong to implement joint programs and projects, promoting the potential strengths of both sides in the fields of tourism, mining industry, high-tech agriculture , education - training and trade, contributing to deepening the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia.

Vietnam and Cambodia are two neighboring countries with a traditional friendship, solidarity and close cooperation. Through many historical periods, the solidarity between the two peoples has always been nurtured and become a priceless common asset of the two countries.

Promoting that tradition, Lam Dong province and Mondulkiri province have maintained effective cooperation in recent times, achieving many positive results, especially in the Socio-Economic Development Cooperation Program for the period 2022-2025 - demonstrating the special solidarity and friendship between the two localities.

During the working trip, on the afternoon of November 10, 2025, the delegation visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia.

At the working session, comrade Pham Thi Phuc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, informed about the socio-economic development situation of Lam Dong province after merging the three provinces of Dak Nong, Binh Thuan and Lam Dong, becoming the province with the largest natural area in the country (24,233.07 km2).

He emphasized that in recent times, Lam Dong has made efforts to overcome difficulties and achieved many comprehensive achievements, in which foreign affairs have been implemented proactively, flexibly, synchronously, closely following the policies of the Party and State and the development orientation of the locality. Thereby, contributing to promoting international cooperation, promoting investment, promoting the image and developing the socio-economy, especially maintaining political security in the border area.

At the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Minh Vu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Cambodia, highly appreciated the role of Lam Dong province in proactively cooperating with Mondulkiri province, thereby contributing to concretizing the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia.

Lam Dong delegation presents gifts to the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia

The Ambassador affirmed that the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia will continue to accompany and support border localities in implementing bilateral cooperation programs, aiming at sustainable, stable and long-term development.
