Early in the morning, passing through the ripe rice fields in the upstream area, a farmer leaned on a hoe, looked into the distance and said: “This year’s yield is high, but why does it still feel like something is missing, brother?” That statement was like a wake-up call. For a long time, we have been used to using yield as a measure of success. The more tons, the more hectares, the higher the yield, the better. But have we ever asked ourselves: is that scale still appropriate?
