The Department of Agriculture and Environment advises the Provincial People's Committee to develop a Program to develop key agricultural products for the period 2026 - 2030.

Pursuant to Plan No. 06-KH/TU dated October 24, 2025 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on implementing the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 12th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, the Department of Agriculture and Environment presides over advising on the development of the Provincial People's Committee's Program on developing key agricultural products for the period 2026 - 2030.

On that basis, the Department of Agriculture and Environment has issued a document requesting relevant departments, branches and units to coordinate, contribute opinions and propose content to complete the draft Program for developing key agricultural products of the province for the period 2026 - 2030. This is an important implementation step to ensure that the Program is built comprehensively, realistically and highly feasible, demonstrating the spirit of synchronous coordination between branches and levels in consulting and organizing local agricultural development.

The development of the Program not only aims to concretize the policy of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee on restructuring the agricultural sector associated with growth model innovation, but also aims to create a stable and sustainable development foundation for agricultural products with competitive advantages of the province. Through that, Ca Mau province will gradually form concentrated, large-scale production areas, applying high technology, improving productivity, quality and added value of products, better meeting the needs of the domestic and export markets.

In particular, the Program is an opportunity for localities, businesses, cooperatives and people to participate in the agricultural value chain, exploiting more effectively natural resources, labor and science and technology. At the same time, the development of key agricultural products will also contribute significantly to protecting the ecological environment, responding to climate change and developing a sustainable rural economy .

Thereby, the Department of Agriculture and Environment affirmed its determination to work with sectors and localities to make the Program a central orientation for the province's agricultural development process in the new period, aiming at the goal of building an ecological, adaptive, efficient and high-value agriculture, contributing to increasing farmers' income and promoting socio-economic growth of Ca Mau province./.
