Based on this, the Department of Agriculture and Environment has issued a document requesting relevant departments, agencies, and units to coordinate, contribute opinions, and propose content to finalize the draft Program for the Development of Key Agricultural Products of the province for the period 2026-2030. This is an important step to ensure that the Program is developed comprehensively, realistically, and with high feasibility, demonstrating the spirit of synchronized coordination among sectors and levels in advising and organizing the development of local agriculture.
The development of this Program aims not only to concretize the policies of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on restructuring the agricultural sector in conjunction with innovating the growth model, but also to create a stable and sustainable development foundation for the province's competitive agricultural products. Through this, Ca Mau province will gradually form large-scale, concentrated production areas applying high technology, improving productivity, quality, and added value of products, better meeting the needs of both domestic and export markets.
In particular, the Program is an opportunity for localities, businesses, cooperatives, and people to participate in the agricultural value chain, more effectively utilizing natural resources, labor, and science and technology. At the same time, the development of key agricultural products will also make a significant contribution to protecting the ecological environment, responding to climate change, and promoting sustainable rural economic development.
Through this, the Department of Agriculture and Environment affirms its determination to work with other sectors and localities to make the Program a central orientation for the province's agricultural development in the new phase, aiming to build an ecological, adaptable, efficient, and high-value agricultural system, contributing to increasing farmers' income and promoting socio-economic growth in Ca Mau province.
