Launching the "Record Setting" contest on Ca Mau Crab within the framework of the Ca Mau Crab Festival - 2nd time in 2025

In response to the 2nd Ca Mau Crab Festival in 2025, the Organizing Committee of the "Record Setting" Contest on Ca Mau Crab officially launched the "Record Setting" Contest on Ca Mau Crab to search for and honor the largest individual of Ca Mau Crab in Vietnam, thereby contributing to promoting and affirming the brand value of Ca Mau Crab specialties on the map of Vietnamese and international agricultural products.

The contest is held within the framework of the activities of the Ca Mau Crab Festival - an annual event to introduce, promote trade and spread the image of Ca Mau Crab - an ecological and economic symbol of the southernmost land of the Fatherland. According to the Contest Rules, participants are organizations, individuals, cooperatives, enterprises, traders and crab farming households in Ca Mau province whose crabs meet the competition criteria. Participating crabs must have a minimum weight of 1.452 kg or more, be alive, intact, clean and have origins of farming and exploitation in Ca Mau.

The contest is launched from October 17, 2025 to November 21, 2025, accepting entries until 3:00 p.m. on November 22, 2025. The weighing, measuring and scoring rounds are conducted publicly using standard inspection equipment to ensure transparency and objectivity, with the participation of the expert council and representatives of the organizing committee.

The Contest's prizes include: 01 First prize worth 15,000,000 VND, 01 Second prize worth 10,000,000 VND, 01 Third prize worth 5,000,000 VND, all prizes come with a Certificate from the Organizing Committee. The First Prize winner will be proposed to the Vietnam Record Organization to officially set the record "The largest Ca Mau crab in Vietnam".

The Organizing Committee also encourages organizations and individuals to register many crabs if they meet the requirements, and at the same time carry out the transparent competition process, witnessed by the Jury and representatives of the contestants. All images, clips and results of the Competition will be posted on the provincial media, contributing to promoting the Ca Mau crab brand to domestic and foreign tourists.

The results of the Competition will be announced and awards will be presented at the Closing Ceremony of the Ca Mau Crab Festival - 2nd time in 2025, taking place at 7:00 p.m. on November 22, 2025 at Phan Ngoc Hien Square.

The contest “Setting a record for Ca Mau Crab” is not only an interesting playground, but also a meaningful activity to honor typical products, affirm the position and brand of Ca Mau Crab - the pride of the people of the land./.
