A representative of VESCO Company said that as of 11:30 a.m. on November 13, the unit had collected 400 tons of garbage. There are still about 150 tons of garbage on the beach that have not been collected yet. The company has mobilized 1 excavator, 1 loader, 1 excavator, 1 specialized beach trash scraper, 2 compactors and rented 10 large dump trucks for collection, but it is expected that it will take until the end of November 14 to collect all of it.
Faced with the massive attack of ocean waste on Vung Tau's coast, Mr. Vu Hong Thuan, Chairman of Vung Tau Ward People's Committee (HCMC), has directed functional agencies and units to focus on implementing solutions to collect and overcome marine environmental pollution.
Accordingly, Vung Tau ward has assigned VESCO Company, Tam Hoang Thien Company Limited and Cooperatives in the Bai Sau area to concentrate forces and vehicles together with the Ward People's Committee to increase the collection of ocean waste washed ashore, ensuring daily collection and timely transportation to a centralized treatment site to avoid environmental pollution in the Bai Sau area.

The above units are responsible for coordinating with the Economic - Infrastructure and Urban Department of the ward to survey a favorable location for a temporary gathering place in the Paradise area and have a suitable plan for gathering and transporting garbage to a centralized treatment site.
Mr. Vu Hong Thuan also requested the agencies and functional units to report to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City and related departments together with the People's Committee of Vung Tau Ward to establish a survey team, assess the reality to find an effective solution to solve the long-term problem of ocean waste washing ashore.
In addition, the Department of Culture - Society , the Center for Culture - Information - Sports and Tourism of Vung Tau ward must strengthen propaganda and mobilize people and tourists to keep the beach clean, not litter and regularly collect garbage when it washes ashore. At the same time, research and organize community activities such as "Green Sunday" periodically at key beaches to mobilize forces to participate in garbage collection and spread the message of environmental protection.
Previously, on the night of November 9, the Bai Sau beach was suddenly attacked by a massive amount of ocean trash, stretching for about 3km from the beginning of Phan Chu Trinh Street to Paradise tourist area. This is considered the biggest ocean trash attack of the year.
