Mail truck caught fire on Van Phong-Nha Trang highway

On the afternoon of November 13, a mail truck suddenly caught fire while traveling on the Van Phong-Nha Trang highway (section passing through Dien Lam commune, Khanh Hoa province).

At about 4:10 p.m. at the above location, a truck with license plate 50H-xxx (belonging to a company in Ho Chi Minh City) driven by driver NNT (35 years old, residing in Dak Lak ), traveling from South to North, suddenly caught fire.

Seeing black smoke coming from the truck, the driver immediately pulled into the emergency lane and left the cabin before the fire engulfed the entire cargo.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Khanh Hoa Province mobilized forces and specialized vehicles to put out the fire. The Traffic Police (under the Ministry of Public Security ) quickly blocked and diverted traffic through the area.

After several minutes of high-pressure water spraying, the fire was brought under control. The driver was uninjured, but most of the cargo, including letters, newspapers, and printed documents, was burned; the front and cabin of the vehicle were slightly smoke-damaged.

Currently, the police are coordinating with relevant units to examine the scene and clarify the cause of the incident.
