(Dan Tri) - In the first half of 2025, Loc Phat Bank (LPBank) recorded positive business results with pre-tax profit reaching VND 6,164 billion.

Vietnam's economy in the first six months of 2025 is on a strong recovery trajectory with GDP growth of 7.52% - the highest level since 2011. The banking sector, playing a vital role in the economy, also recorded a total credit growth of approximately 9.9% compared to the beginning of the year, the highest increase in many years.

Keeping pace with the general growth trend, LPBank 's business operations have shown many positive signs. In the first six months of 2025, the bank achieved a pre-tax profit of VND 6,164 billion, completing 41.5% of the annual plan. Total operating income reached VND 9,601 billion, of which non-interest income accounted for 27%, an increase of 17.3% compared to the same period last year.

This income structure reflects LPBank's efforts to diversify revenue sources, reduce reliance on traditional lending activities, and align with its sustainable development orientation. According to many financial experts, in the context of stable interest rates, banks with a high proportion of non-interest income will have a clear competitive advantage, especially in stabilizing profits and controlling credit risk.

In terms of scale, LPBank's outstanding loan balance reached VND 368,727 billion, an increase of 11.2% compared to the beginning of the year. This increase is significantly higher than the overall growth rate of the entire industry, demonstrating LPBank's efforts in expanding capital supply to the market, especially in the retail sector. The bank's total assets also increased by 16% compared to the same period, reaching VND 513,613 billion.

LPBank maintains efficient operations and tight risk control.

Operational efficiency and risk management capabilities continue to be bright spots in LPBank's financial picture. According to the bank's semi-annual financial report, the cost-to-income ratio (CIR) was maintained at 28.92%. This result shows that LPBank is effectively controlling operating costs, allowing the bank to confidently reinvest in technology and strategic projects without putting pressure on profits.

LPBank's ROE reached 23.67% and ROA reached 1.95%. These figures demonstrate the bank's ability to optimize resources and effectively control risks, while also reflecting a sustainable growth strategy focused on asset quality and operational efficiency. LPBank's non-performing loan ratio was also controlled at 1.74%, fully meeting the requirements of the State Bank of Vietnam.

In the second quarter, LPBank paid out the 2024 dividend in cash at a rate of 25%, as approved by the 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders. The total dividend payment in this round amounted to VND 7,468 billion.

Throughout the first six months of the year, LPBank continuously improved its services and launched groundbreaking products such as LPBank Priority, Profitable Loan 2.0, the premium LPBank Visa Signature credit card, LPBank Private Lounge service... for individual customers, and Combo (package) multi-purpose accounts, Super Fast Loans, Export-Import Financing... for corporate customers. These steps not only helped expand market share but also elevated the LPBank brand in the minds of customers.

On June 23rd, S&P Global ranked LPBank as the most efficient bank in Vietnam and one of the top 3 most efficient banks in Southeast Asia based on its 2024 business results. Domestically, the bank is also included in the Top 10 most reputable private commercial banks in 2025 as announced by Vietnam Report. LPBank has also been honored with numerous ESG awards such as the Asia Corporate Responsibility Award 2025, Top 10 Green ESG Banks in Vietnam 2025, etc., clearly reflecting the bank's strong efforts in supporting the sustainable development goals of the community and society.
