The seminar "Vietnam Stock Market: New Dynamics, New Opportunities" will be held at 9:30 a.m. on July 23, 2024.

In July 2024, the Vietnamese securities industry witnessed many special events: the 26th anniversary of Decree No. 48/1998/ND-CP dated July 11, 1998 of the Government on securities and the securities market, the 24th anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (July 20, 2000) and the first securities trading session (July 28, 2000).

Although the journey is not too long, it is also a journey in which the stock market has recorded results and left many marks on the socio -economic development process in general and the financial market of Vietnam in particular.

More importantly, investors are aiming for an important milestone, the goal of upgrading Vietnam's stock market from frontier to emerging by 2025, according to the Vietnam Stock Market Development Strategy to 2030 approved by the Prime Minister in late 2023.

Upgrading the stock market from frontier to emerging is expected to not only contribute to improving the image of the investment environment, promoting economic development in general, but also help form a more vibrant and transparent Vietnamese stock market, with more newly listed enterprises and more domestic and foreign investors participating; thereby helping the stock market truly become an important capital mobilization channel of the economy and bringing many opportunities for market participants.

Are all these expectations likely to soon become reality? What are the new development drivers that need to be identified? What are the new opportunities that are opening up for the business community and investors?
