Accordingly, nearly 142 hectares out of a total of 163 hectares of rice paddy land have been converted for other uses to implement the Hiep Hoa Urban Area project (Hiep Hoa ward, Bien Hoa city).

This project covers a total area of over 293 hectares with an estimated population of 31,600 people. The total investment for the project is over 72,000 billion VND, of which over 54,000 billion VND is for construction, and the remainder is for compensation, support, and resettlement costs.

According to the investment policy decision, the project aims to build and develop a new, modern, low-density urban area and service complex that harmonizes with nature, while also focusing on sustainable tourism development.

Dong Nai allows investors to implement projects within 12 years from the date of approval of the investment plan. The implementation process can be divided into 5 investment phases.

In addition to the above project, in September 2024, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province also issued a decision approving the detailed urban planning project at a scale of 1/500 for a commercial center in Hiep Hoa ward, covering an area of 12 hectares with a total investment of over 6,000 billion VND. This project was proposed by a Japanese investor.
