According to the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, in order to create land for resettlement to serve the implementation of projects in the province, Dong Nai will implement 89 projects to build resettlement areas in the period 2025-2030.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, the roadmap for constructing resettlement areas in the province will be divided into four phases. In 2025, 13 resettlement area construction projects will be implemented. By 2026, construction will begin on an additional 30 resettlement areas.

During the period from 2027-2028, Dong Nai will implement the construction of an additional 24 resettlement areas, and in the period from 2029-2030, another 22 resettlement areas will be built.

According to preliminary calculations, the total cost for implementing 89 resettlement area construction projects in the province is over 10,300 billion VND. This total investment capital is calculated based on the total resettlement needs of localities and the construction investment cost per unit and the composite construction price of structural components for 2024 as announced by the Ministry of Construction in Decision No. 409/QD-BXD dated April 11, 2025.

According to the consolidated results on resettlement needs of localities and units in the province when implementing projects in the 2026-2030 period, the total resettlement demand in Dong Nai province during this period is more than 47,000 plots, with an expected average area of 100m2 per resettlement plot and residential land accounting for an average of about 45% of the land use structure of resettlement areas and urban areas.

Therefore, to ensure resettlement for people whose land is being expropriated, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province aims to build resettlement areas with a total number of resettlement plots greater than or equal to the total number of households affected by the project.
