Southeast Asia has lost its representative in men's football at the 19th Asian Games.

China, after Vietnam and Thailand, Indonesia and Myanmar also failed to spring any surprises against stronger opponents and were eliminated from the round of 16 of the men's football tournament at the 19th Asian Games.

The quarter-finals will take place on October 1st, and with the exception of Hong Kong, the remaining teams have all shown superior strength. The four quarter-final pairings are Uzbekistan - Saudi Arabia, Iran - Hong Kong, Japan - North Korea, and China - South Korea.
