Dong Thap: Thunderstorms continue to collapse 28 houses, blow off roofs of 112 houses and injure 8 people

(ABO) On the morning of July 23, the leader of the People's Committee of Ba Sao commune, Dong Thap province, said that the local government is mobilizing forces to support people in overcoming the incident caused by thunderstorms that collapsed and blew off the roofs of more than 140 houses in the area.

Statistics up to 9:00 a.m. the same day, in the commune, there were 28 collapsed houses, 112 houses had their roofs blown off. 2 schools had their garages collapsed, 1 school had its garage roof collapsed, and the ceilings of classrooms were damaged.

The thunderstorm also injured 8 people who were transferred to Ba Sao Commune Medical Center and hospital for first aid and treatment.

Authorities support people to overcome the consequences.

The leader of Ba Sao Commune People's Committee said that this morning, the commune urgently mobilized forces to the scene to grasp the situation, count the damage, and restore traffic on the routes.

Ba Sao Commune has coordinated with the local Police and Military forces and Regiment 320 (Dong Thap Provincial Military Command) to support the force to repair houses and mobilize necessities to support the affected people. In the shortest time, the commune urgently mobilized all forces to support the people to quickly restore and stabilize their lives.
