In Vinh Chau commune, more than 200 houses and many roads were flooded. Many households had to stay up all night to move their belongings and build temporary embankments to prevent water from flooding their homes. Ms. Do Thi Be Hai (Lang Sen hamlet) said that on some days the water rose half a meter, damaging household items, and the whole family had to bail water out by hand.

Not only houses, but also production has been severely affected. Mr. Nguyen Van Dung (Ca Dam hamlet) said that more than 100 jackfruit trees and 25 durian trees that were ready for harvest were deeply submerged, posing a high risk of damage despite embankment construction and continuous water pumping for several days.

According to assessments, water levels in the rivers in the area continue to rise due to local rainfall combined with water flowing from upstream. In the coming days, water levels on the rivers will remain high, posing a risk of flooding in low-lying areas, riverbank erosion, and dike breaches, especially along the Vam Co Dong and Vam Co Tay rivers. The natural disaster risk level is warned at level 2.

In response to the situation, the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province announced that it is urgently reinforcing approximately 110km of vulnerable dikes at 23 locations in the communes of Vinh Chau, Khanh Hung, Hung Dien, Tuyen Binh, and Hau Thanh. The total cost of implementation is over 6.2 billion VND, funded by the 2025 public irrigation support budget. To date, the construction volume has reached about 30%, focusing on sections at risk of overflow and landslides.

Local authorities also mobilized forces to assist people in protecting their property and proactively responding to and minimizing damage caused by floods.
